Serves meat, vegan options available. Casual dining Japanese and Korean cuisines, sushi bar. Reported has vegan choices on menu. Open Mon-Sat 11:30am-9:00pm.
Ta-Ke Sushi was very knowledgeable when I was ordering: the full veggie sushi platter could not be made vegan and thus 2 of the 5 veggie rolls are not inherently vegan.
Also the yam/avo roll is definitely not as nice without the batter and deepfry.
Overall it was fresh, but a tad on the underwhelming side.
Ordering just my 3 rolls, I was surprised when they turned it into a meal with some nice sides, so it was a pleasant meal.
This restaurant is just in the heart of the tourist area in St John, NB, a city with few veggie options. We were thrilled to find that they have many clearly vegan items on the Japanese menu, and the additional Korean options made it even more worthwhile. The staff is quite friendly, and found at our request for Korean pickles some pickled apples, since the Kimchi wasn't vegan. The food is fresh, tasty. Definitely a place to visit when in Saint John.

I’m here at least once a week for their yam roll. The owners are very kind and do a great job of delivering consistently delicious food!

Veg Options Are Good, But Limited. - Edit
I enjoy the vegetarian/ vegan options they have here, but they could easily add some more to the menu.
Read moreNone of the lunch specials are veg friendly, nor are any of the noddle dishes.
Having said that, they so have some tasty veg options, just not enough in my opinion.
