Takeaway sushi spot!

This place is super busy and often sells out before closing time. The owner was super friendly and helpful and great with vegan options. They have heaps of vegan smoothies. The charcoal one is good. And so is the lime, pineapple and coconut one. The Vegan spring rolls are weird. They are basically just a roll full of noodles. They are filling but not really a spring roll. The eggplant tempura vegan nori roll is yummy but oily. The okonomiyaki are too fried/crispy. All in all, this place is a good takeaway lunch option with many healthy vegan options.

The vegan spring rolls have a new recipe. Less noodle more veg which is great. They going to start to using a vegan mayo in some sushi soon. Yay!
We are now regulars as my bubba loves an avocado nori roll and a smoothie for lunch. It's his favourite lunch spot in Kyneton.

Pros: Nice smoothies

Cons: The good vegan nori rolls sell out early

Not bad in a pinch

The service was really lovely and helpful. Unfortunately the food was a bit bland and strange. The big vegan spring roll was sickly and oily (I usually love deep fried food but this was icky) and it was just full of noodles with a few small pieces of vegetables sprinkled through. I couldn’t finish it.
The sushi was better, however they only had two that didn’t have mayonnaise in them; the tofu roll and the seaweed roll. The other two options were avocado roll and vegetable roll, which would usually also be made vegan but they had added mayo to them that day. I don’t understand why they couldn’t add veggies and/or avocado to the tofu rolls…instead of making them so plain.
All in all, sushi was good for a take away option, but don’t get too excited.
