This place seems not to exist anymore. I came here for lunch on a Wednesday. But there is no restaurant sign or anything, I compared it to the pictures here on HC, bit it seems this placed is closed down. Don‘t waste your time coming here.

Wonderful Vegan Spot - Edit
A home away from home, this place has wonderful vegan options and a very good original Dutch bitterballen. My friend (from Boston) and I went here and she’s not vegan but ordered the Philly cheesesteak and it was so good she ordered a second one for take away. You can’t go wrong here, all warm, comfy and enjoyable vegan food. I was very happen this place was 14 mins from my hotel. On top of it all, the owners are wonderful and very welcoming.

This is so much better than the vegan junk food bar. The burger and meatball sub were delicious and the milkshakes to die for! It didn't feel overly greasy or leave you feeling ill. I would choose this over vjfb any day

I tried the chilli. It was fantastic, with great nachos textures and a generous serving of spicy mock mince. I also tried their Bounty milkshake, which is more like a thick shake. So thick, you can eat it with a spoon! The vintage seats at the back were comfortable. Cool music too.

Went here for my birthday dinner and I was in heaven OMG. I It was easy to find, the staff was so sweet in telling us where we could sit and give us menus. They came to take our order quickly, they were so understanding and really knew what they were doing and just smiling and cracking jokes. I got the philly cheesesteak and a snickers milkshake and honestly it was everything I could ever wish for. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER.

Vegan and Close to Amsterdam Central Station - Edit
Great little place close to Central Station. Delicious vegan junk food options, with good range. We had the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and Sunshine Lounge Loaded Fries - both were excellent. Inside or lovely alfresco seating available. My wife had a small miscommunication about the toilets location and the owner came out to apologise. I told him it was not a big deal, but he insisted on giving us complimentary shakes - which were incredible by the way. Highly recommended.

Sunlight Lounge is definitely one of my favourite vegan spots in Amsterdam. The food is really tasty and you don't have to wait too long for the food to arrive. The staff are friendly and the service is great. I met one of the owners Heather who was really lovely which made me want to go there even more. I would definitely recommend the Sunlight Lounge to anyone looking for vegan food in Amsterdam. I was just sad I didn't get to try the cheese sticks because they're so popular they were gone!

I cannot tell you what the food is like here as every time I have been, both lunchtime and evening, there is no food for sale. It's hard to understand as the windows have menus written on them, with nice looking vegan options. But the staff just shrug and say "no food today". Waste of time.

I tried fries with vegan bacon and homemade cheese, the homemade mozzarella sticks and cauliflowers wings with homage sauce (for me the homemade part is really important) everything was so good ! The best cauliflowers wings I had and I can say the first time I had that type of mozzarella sticks, impossible to find this real texture and flavors in other places ! Even in other city’s I made..!
Plus, the team who made them are incredibles people’s, they go out of there kitchen sometimes because they really want to feed you with love, and they really do that for animals ❤️
I recommend for the food, and human part ! 100% I’ll

Not every vegan meal needs to be healthy, right? Their lunch menu on a Saturday was limited to small bites and a burger, but we did just fine. We may go back to get a milkshake later.

Very good junk food with classic American dishes. I had the philly cheese steak which was delicious. The portions are pretty big. The milkshakes are massive and totally worth trying! The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, but that wasn’t a big issue since the food was so good. I will definitely come back!

Lovely vegan junk food and good portion sizes. The downfall for me was that they have a sign saying vegan food, and the food menu is entirely vegan - however they serve cow's milk by default in the coffees which I only noticed as my cappuccino came with a biscuit that contained milk. I think it's a bit of a misleading set up and they could make this clearer.

Absolutely fantastic experience here at Sunlight lounge. I had the mozza sticks, bounty milkshake and chilli and each surpassed the previous. Great service but very busy at times. Recommend for any vegan in Amsterdam!
