Amazing food!

If anyone is visiting Zagreb I would recommend that you go to this restoraunt. The food is great, I love their raw desserts, and the staff is really nice and friendly. It has a really good location and it very cute inside.

Pros: Amazing food, Friendly staff, Great location

Perfect vegan food in the centre of Zagreb!

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to, and I have been to many. It is currently closed (July-August), but I'm writing a review based on many times I ate there. The location is perfect, right in the centre, The ambient is also beautiful. My favorite thing to eat while I'm there is the vegetable stew ("varivo") which is different every day - but beware, the portion size is huge :) Everything else I tried was also perfect. Every non vegan that I took there was also very happy with the food! :)

Pros: delicious food, great ambient, great location

Cons: a bit pricey

Yummy lunch option in the middle of Zagreb

It's a bit hard to find because it's not on the ground floor of the building and the sign is pretty easy to miss. Do note the street address/number. Once you've found the building, take the stairs to the second floor (what we Americans would call the second floor- the floor above the ground floor), and there are stickers on the floor leading you to the entrance.

We found it really delicious. I believe it's mostly vegan, if not all vegan, the server was able to answer my questions about I wanted to order. I got the hemp burger and it was really good, better than I expected.

Good burger and great cake!

Sumski is the new vegan place to eat in Zagreb and well worth a visit. I went twice in four days. Once four a snack, and had a great hemp burger! The second time for an evening meal. That time we hit the problem that pervades all the vegan Zagreb restaurants - and maybe all Croatian ones! - the kitchen tends to close or at least have nothing much left to offer well before the official closing time! Luckily I anticipated this and arrived just in time, that was 35 minutes before the kitchen closed and 95 minutes before the restaurant was due to close. We dispensed with the by then limited menu and asks them to make whatever they could for the three of us, vegan! It worked and we had a good satisfying meal with some interesting stuff I've not had before. They let us carry on eating whilst they started cashing and washing up for the night and we even got them to serve us a piece of raw cake that was superb. I look forward to returning here maybe a little earlier in the evening!

Pros: Interesting good food, Nice layout, Imaginative ingredients

Cons: Beware early kitchen closing

small portions

Went there with some meat-eating friends on a budget, who ordered seitan or hemp burgers, while I felt like having the raw sushi main dish for double the price. Unfortunately my portion was so small (more of a starter) that I ordered a burger afterwards, since I wasn't full at all. My friends, who only had the burger, didn't feel they had eaten enough either. The smoothie was delicious, however overall I felt a bit disappointed.

Pros: good smoothie, nice atmosphere, well decorated

Cons: small portions, slow staff

cozy&tasty

Situated at the very city center, though it is not so simple to find the entrance, once you do, you step in and see a domestic interior filled with nice music.
The menu is updated daily (cooked + raw), but offers safety 'fast food'. The food is yummy and creative.
Everything is clean, starting from the cutlery to the toilet.
As they have opened relatively recently, there isn't too much to choose from, but the food is good, so who cares!
It isn't crowded which is nice.
Also, the prices are really decent, you won't have to spend a fortune to be full. The portions are just right, even for those who have a big appetite.

Pros: good tasty vegan food, does not cost much, nice atmosphere (and clean!)

Cons: the staff is a bit confused and slow, not so easy to find the entrance
