Nice vegan burgers - Edit
After a long day of walking and with an empty stomach, I needed some decent food. So, I stopped by at this restaurant for a nice burger. On their menu, there are 2 vegan options, the original burger & the Italian version. I went for the Italian which is a vegan bun that comes with homemade organic patty with local vegetables, rucola, vegan pesto aioli and their special vegan submarine sauce. The burger was very tasty in itself, but even better with the tray of hot sauces they offer at your table.

Good burgers and fries - Edit
They have two vegan burgers which we ordered with the beyond meat patty and they were both nice and juicy but nothing special. A big plus for the homemade fries! The burger beer is also good but a bit expensive (3€ for 0,33l).

The tap beer was awful (i guess i had bad luck with beer that day). I can tell when the beer is fresh, this one they served me definitely was not.
Burgers had alot of mayonnaise (read: too much). Fries tasted like they are made/fried in old oil.
I didnt saw well.. but my guess is they fry vegan "burgers" on the same baking board as meat burgers. (If u have the oportunity, please take a better look.. im not sure on this one cause i didnt saw well.)
If you're realy realy hungry and nothing else is open, this place will be "ok". 😅
Pros: vegan options (at least you wont be hungry), vegetarian options also
Cons: Too expensive, they have meat burgers also

I ate at this location and the one at Frankopanska 11 Ulica. I tried the avocado burger and the superfood vegan burger. They were both delicious and quite filling. You have the option to get their veggie patty or to upgrade to the beyond burger. The fries were good too!

Good food, nice staff, and budget-friendly! While it is possible to eat vegan in Zagreb, this proves a challenge when you’re on a budget and want to eat more than a potato. Submarine has various really good burgers with home-made local ingredients and freshly made veg-patties. They also serve the beyond meat burgers and salads that can either be turned vegan, or are vegan (incl. Vegan cheese and homemade vegan pesto). Additionally, they had a vegan desert, which was lovely. They do serve meat burgers as well, but all ingredients and animal products are locally sourced. One of the better places in Zagreb!

I tried the vegan truffle burger and the overall taste was goody but the patty tasted. Bit burned. The fries were good, same for the vegan special sauce (like sauce tartare/ sour cream-ish).

The fries were really good two, you could see they used fresh potatoes and left the peal on, their original submarine sauce fits them pretty good!
