Read moreYes, menu items are marked - Vegetarian- not vegan. Many items are marked that can be made vegetarian upon request. I asked one server about those items, and he said almost anything can be made vegan, just ask. When it came time to order I chose one of those items, and the main server said while the dish could be made vegetarian, to be vegan they have to remove the oyster sauce, which leaves it flavorless. He explained that’s the case for any item with oyster sauce that’s marked vegetarian. So it seems this place thinks oyster sauce is vegetarian… I settled on the mustard greens, which was okay, but just that- a big bowl of sautéed greens for $24. Adding tofu was a request that surprised the server, and of course there was a charge for tofu and rice. My companion ordered the spicy cauliflower made vegan (no pork belly, no option to substitute tofu for the pork)- so he ate a bowl of sautéed cauliflower. We planned to go back the next day for lunch but it wasn’t worth it.
Pros: Some good flavors, Lots of vegetables, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Misleading labeling on menu, Lack of understanding for vegan needs, Not enough tofu-vegetable dishes
