FANTASTIC

I’m in town visiting a friend and we used Happy Cow to find Sukha. Such a great spot! Easy to be gluten free. We both had the delish veggie burger, I had the chili also. Just real, fresh, flavorful food and drinks. And, my meat eating friend loved it😄

Pros: Great selection/ lots of options , Super laid back vibe, Gluten free friendly

SUKHA isn't just Vegan. It's GLORIOUS food

Go eat there...or order on WAITR:
There is no other place in our near Baton Rouge like SUKHA. The chef takes has such an eye for details that each meal is delicious and beautiful. So many items are made from scratch, in house. The baked items are stunning to look at and absolutely decadent. Brunch is on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and changes each week. I literally eat at SUKHA as often as I can.
It's on Highland Road ( a little hard to find at first) Upstairs inside YOGA BLISS

Vegan and organic cafe

It's so hard to find vegan + organic + gluten free in Baton Rouge. This place is a godsend for that! However, it's pricy.

The food is good, but it's not great. It's all vegan and mostly organic, so it's worth the peace of mind. However, you may still be hungry or you may not like what all of the ingredients are. But, if you spend enough money, you'll be happy here.

I like the salads. I like the desserts, a lot. The daily gluten free slice is excellent. The vegetables are fresh. The service is nice. The menu is well labeled for dietary restrictions. I wish the hours were longer though!

Pros: Vegan, Organic, Menu

Cons: Price, Hours

Delicious, entirely vegan cafe

We tried Sukha for the first time today and were thoroughly delighted by the food. There's nothing else like it in Baton Rouge! It's 100% plant based.

We tried a Panini (grilled vegan Chao cheese), black bean chili, and a veggie burger with air-cooked/low oil sweet potato fries. One of the entrees also had a side of kale salad coated in cheezy-nootch that was amazing -- I'm going back for a full-sized portion of that salad soon! Every single thing on our plates was delicious.

They seem to put a lot of care into the quality of the food and ingredients. Most of the food is organic. That means the prices are a little higher than the norm for a casual lunch in Baton Rouge (our pre-tip total came to about $42 for two people, with smoothies and entrees). The quality justifies it.

The cafe is small (only a few tables), but it has a nice ambience. The service was really excellent.

I'm giving them 5 stars for the food. However, there is one thing I didn't love: there was a heavy incense odor because of the yoga studio that' s attached. That might be a positive or a negative, depending on your view of patchouli, but I thought the overwhelming perfume smell subtly detracted from the sensory enjoyment of the excellent food (because the scent of food is a big part of perception of taste).

The food was good enough that we'll be returning...but I hope they convince the yoga studio to ease up on the incense!

Pros: Ingredient quality, Delicious, 100% plant-based food, Service

Cons: Heavy incense smell
