Good food, friendly service - Edit
We've been in a few times now, often at the start of a bike ride. The coffee's very good and the food is standard cafe fare but all veggy with good and tasty vegan options. Vegan cake always seems plentiful (and is tasty) and daily specials are vegan as well.

Amazing coconut cake - Edit
Called in today having found this cafe on the app. The couple who own the place are lovely very happy for a bit of a chat while you struggle to choose from the wide range of vegan cakes. Sadly I had to have 3 slices as card payments are a minimum of £5 sure my hips will hate me for it but by taste buds we're certainly pleased. The coconut cake was amazing, good portion size, great texture and very tasty. I'm only in Beverley for a few days but feel I may have to go back before I go home.

disappointing - Edit
Went for lunch here today and I wasn't very pleased. Not sure if they where having a off day but the atmosphere was horrible, I felt really awkward in there. I got a tomato, red bell pepper and onion panini with vegan cheese which was disappointing as the bread was soggy and wet on one side so I couldn't eat it. I will not be returning.

Delicious vegan cakes - Edit
So excited to find a vege/vegan cafe in Beverley. This place is a great find with a varied menu. We had the sweet potato soup and 1/2 a panini which is a great deal at £4.50. There were 6 cakes to chose from and 4 were vegan. I had the lemon and my husband had the coffee which were both delicious.

Vegan cakes - Edit
Cakes and Beverley Buns are good. Some savoury dishes are offered and I had a panini which was OK. When we visited in October the café was quite cold and we noticed the regulars kept their coats on. We sat near a radiator but soon discovered it wasn't turned on! The toilet is an outhouse and you have to go out the front of the café and round the back to reach it; it is of course unheated.

Nice, bargain Café! So many vegan cakes! - Edit
Discovered to my surprise and delight that there was a veggie café in Beverley, so obviously I had to try it on my next visit there! It is on the quieter stretch of Lairgate so less obvious if you didn't know it existed. The décor is bright, light and airy, with lovely stars hanging across the window. It was very clean and staff were helpful. The sandwiches are incredibly cheap for Beverley. They are not the best I've had, but nice enough for the price (£2.25!!!) There are several vegan options, such as hummus and carrot and salad or guacamole and the coffee and cake after were fab! They had many vegan cakes, and two gluten free! I had the spiced pear cake- it was delicious! However, it would be even better if they served cream or ice cream with the cakes as personally I find cake dry on its own. However, I will definitely be returning.

Cons: Not open evenings/Sundays., Not many hot options, No cream/ice cream with cakes.

Ok but not the best - Edit
The standard menu needs a few more dishes to choose from. I had garlic mushrooms on toast (toast didn't appear home made)and 'side salad' which was a few leaves (no tomatos, cucumber etc). These were average but enjoyable. My husband had a cheese and apple panini with the same few leaves. Cakes are £2.50-£3 per slice. We had a brownie each and we had to fight over who got the tiny one. Need to be more competitive to survive, there are lots of cafes in Beverley. Some are better and cheaper.
