safe place for animals (and people) - Edit
this sanctuary is a peaceful place where about 85 animals can live their lives to the end. when i visited, there were 4 cows, 2 horses and 2 ponies, 4 cats, 3 dogs, about 30 chicken and 40 pigeons.
Read morethe cows were rescued from slaughter, same as some chicken. others come from egg farming, many pigeons were injured and nursed back to health, most dogs and cats are rescued from the streets.
it's nice to see the chicken roaming around freely or sleeping in the cowshed. the pigeons like to bath in fresh water or sit on the roof beams. the horses and ponies are best friends each so they like to hang out together, so do the cows. everybody gets good food and is perfectly cared for, e. g. finja can't scrunch hay up so she gets her own special food 3 times per day.
you can support the sanctuary by buying animal sponsorships, making donations, booking the guest rooms or volunteer work (e.g. wwoof). the owners are so passionate about their animals but also animal rights in general, they are SO worth supporting🫶🏼

Vegan brunch and lovely animals - Edit
Once a year there’s a vegan brunch that is open for all. You can bring all the good vegan stuff you can cook, come together with other vegans and have a look around the Farm. There are many lovely animals you can pet and it’s a nice, calming vibe there.

Veganer Himmel - Edit
Es ist schön, einen Lebenshof in Osthessen zu haben. Die Hofleitung Marion ist sehr sympathisch und man merkt, wie aufopferungsvoll sie sich um die Tiere kümmert. Beim ersten Besuch bekommt man eine ausführliche Hofführung, bei der man alle Tiere kennenlernt, danach kann man den Hof auf eigene Faust erkunden (die Kühe lassen sich sehr gern kraulen und kuscheln).
