Vegan Cheeze Sticks?! What?! - Edit
My husband and I were visiting Detroit and checked out Space Cat and we were not disappointed!. We had the Hot Mess (philly cheeze steak inspired) the cheeseburger burrito and cheese sticks. I have no clue how they managed to get the right texture for the sticks but we were impressed. Would definitely return.

I was visiting Detroit and this place was kinda outta the way, but I have a car and some time so I decided to drive there and I'm glad I did! The beet sandwich that was on special was amazing. Seriously, so good. The staff was friendly. They have a nice selection of baked goods to look at (and eat) on the counter too.

Our party of 4 ordered the brunch quesadilla, chkn and waffle sandwich, cheddar shredder special, and the biscuits and gravy special (my personal fav). Everything was delicious and excellent quality. The housemade "meats" and sauces were impressive- so flavorful! Coffee and desserts were also great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the atmosphere and humorous cat-themed decor and menu. We can't wait to go back!

Everything is made fresh from scratch, and you can really taste the difference. I honestly think it’s the best vegan food I’ve ever had. The staff is welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. This place has quickly become my favorite spot. If you’re looking for amazing, flavorful vegan food, you have to check it out!

Offering quality comfort food, the staff was friendly and took the time to explain the menu. I believe it's almost fully vegan except for the dairy cheese. We also enjoyed looking at the interesting interior full of spacecats 😄

I walked in to Space Cat shortly after they opened. I had a Breakfast Bomb with Brunchy Potatoes coffee. Shelly is so friendly and even gave me a cookie for the road. I wish I lived closer to eat here more frequently. Love the artwork, too.

Very impressed by the food and service. Good vibes and friendly knowledgeable staff. The food is made fresh so it takes a few minutes to receive your order but it’s totally worth the wait. We went on a Saturday morning and had the breakfast bomb and the wet purrito. Both were delicious. Also tried the walnut bread pudding which was totally worth adding extra miles to my daily run! Can’t think of anything to complain about. Will be back soon.

Really great quality food! My sandwich was toasted to perfection and the flavor is wonderful. I love that like 99% of their options are vegan by default to order with a sense of ease. Highly recommend this place as they put a lot of care into their food. Staff is very friendly too.

It could have been an off day... - Edit
I was really looking forward to trying this place. It's in a cute area surrounded by local shops and lots to do. Honestly, I was disappointed though. I ordered takeout since indoor dining was closed due to Covid restrictions. The staff member who brought it out seemed bothered, and they forgot the cutlery. There was no way to get cutlery since the door was locked, and I didn't think the unfriendly staff member would be pleased if I knocked. I ended up breaking my coffee stirrer in half and using it like chopsticks to eat my vegan mac & cheese. There wasn't enough creamer included for my coffee either. It could have been an off day but it wasn't a great experience.

Went to Spacecat this morning and had a really lovely brunch! I tried the breakfast bomb and the cheese sticks and got a coffee with soy milk. Everything was so flavorful! I am not always a big fan of vegan sausage and asked to sub with tempeh bacon, which they said they could do, but recommended against. I'm glad I stuck with the recipe as-is! The cheese sticks with marinara were the closest thing to real cheese sticks I've ever encountered! House-made cheese means no funky, sticky Daiya and just a wonderful taste. The only complaint is that it's cold out today (around 35 degrees), and it felt a bit chilly in the restaurant. I'd recommend bringing a sweater if you come when it's cold, in case that's not a rarity.

A little annoying that they don’t allow indoor dining yet, with lots of tables just sitting there empty, the food is great though. The staff is very cheerful. We had no wait to place our order, but the food still took a long time. It was worth it, however.
