Friendly and well stocked

Lots of useful vegan shopping items - cheeses, space bars, frozen / chilled food. Friendly staff.

Marked vegan products

Every vegan item in the store has a green sticker that indicates it’s vegan. Souk have a vegan cheese counter, a multitude of pre-packaged cheeses, fridge items, loads of freezer goods, dry goods, literally everything. I’ve seen multiple products in there that I haven’t been able to track or source anywhere since! I would double check use by dates before purchasing as I have accidentally bought some dry goods that were quite far past best before.

Essential for locals

A small shop packed to the brim with hard to find ingredients, a life saver for getting what you need for recipes. Often stocked with vegan essentials like vital wheat gluten/ gram flour as well as cupboard staples, dried and tinned beans, pulses, lentils, imported speciality ingredients and herbs, as well as a generously stocked fridge and freezer section. It’s a small shop overflowing with produce so you need to be mindful when social distancing, but the owners are very helpful and have started making vegan suggestions for me after a couple of visits and have said they’re happy to order in items if there is something I want they don’t currently stock (unlikely as they carry a LOT) It’s not a solely vegetarian shop and they do have a meat counter, but they cater to us very well, as well as stocking a lot of Middle Eastern, Asian, Polish & other Eastern European imported items.

Pros: Lots of unusual ingredients , A wide selection of vegetables , Helpful staff

Cons: Tight quarters

Perfect

Really lovely shop, couldn’t be more helpful and really lovely, kind people that run it. They source loads of vegan items and you can chat to them if there’s something you’re after too. This place has been a godsend since moving to worthing

Great vegan shooing options

Loads of vegan options(and a lot I hadn't heard of) including mock meats, cheeses, sauces and more and very polite, friendly owners
