Delicious vegan pizza; 3 vegan options on menu - Edit
This is an upscale wine bar that sells meals, appetizers, and alcohol. It's a very nice, classy setting with friendly staff. I've dined here a few times, usually to celebrate birthdays.
Read moreThey have their vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options clearly identified on the menu. They have three official vegan dishes identified on the menu, the Broccolini and Potato Pizza, potatoes, and brussel sprouts. So far, I've tried the pizza and the brussel sprouts.
The pizza crust is cauliflower crust, uses cashew cheese, and has the following toppings - roasted broccolini, crushed potato, calabrian chilies, tomato, and rosemary. I ordered this a few times, and it was delicious. Many non-vegan restaurant's pizzas can be pretty empty as far as toppings, but the pizza was full of veggie toppings and cashew cheese. The brussel sprouts are delicious and roasted just right, and they had cashews in them.
They have other food on the menu identified as vegetarian that may be able to be veganized if you ask the waiter to talk to the cooks (I didn't ask, but it's worth a try). This includes the hummus and flat bread, crispy zucchini, house salad, and ceasar salad.
They could improve by having more vegan meals on the menu to add a variety. As far as main meals, vegans can really only eat that one pizza on the menu unless they want to try to ask to veganize the vegetarian food on the menu. The brussel sprouts and potatoes are more or so appetizers. They could also improve by having a nut-free vegan cheese available for the vegan pizza for those with nut allergies.
