Lovely place, authentic food and the best tajine I had on my trip to Morocco. Very cheap as well!

We loved it!

This little vegan restaurant is in a beautiful square in the medina. The food was amazing, and we ate quite a lot! The service by the daughter of the owner was also great. Watching the cats while eating the delicious three course menu we ordered was just perfect!

Pros: Service, Food, Price

Best Food in Essaouira

Dinner was absolutely delicious; it was flavoursome, authentic and lovingly made. Compliments to the chef and server - they both made sure we were well looked after and ensure we left full and happy.

Cheap food

The food at Shyadma’s was quite tasty and very cheap. It is also one of the two vegan restaurants in this city.

Unfortunately, the hygiene of the place was not up to standard. Had it been, I would have given Shyadma’s 5 stars. I found a hair in the soup and a hair in the bread, both of which were clearly not ours, and both of which had clearly not just fallen on top as they brought it out. They were cooked into the food.

We’re not really that fussy usually and won’t really complain if we find a hair on top, because mistakes can happen, but I have to deduct points for two hairs neither of which were on top. It also took like an hour and a bit for our food to come out, but we didnt really mind because it was nice to sit in the shade.

3 stars from niki_nine

Pros: Cheap, Tasty

Cons: Found hairs in food, Took a while to come out

Nice little restaurant offering typical food

It is a nice little restaurant which gives the perfect idea of moroccan food. Everything is homemade and despite the fact that we had to wait until they served us the food, it worthed it. They were nice and the price was beyond fair!

We waited 3.5 hours for our meal. Good food but the kitchen was filthy and an absolute tip. Hope it doesn't make us ill

Moroccan AND vegan!!!

We were soooo surprised to find this gem. 100% vegan and the owner is just the sweetest. The tajines are probably some of the best meals I've ever had...a true blessing 🥰

Amazing VEGAN in Essaouira!!

Amazing VEGAN food in the heart of Essaouira!!

Made fresh when ordered. Large menu. Super nice young man and a sweet lady that cooked for us.

Indoor and outdoor seating.

We had the lentil soup (2 bowls), one order of falafel-6 pieces with a small salad, two vegetable pastilla (THEY ARE LARGE!) which came with an avocado, cucumber & banana salad along with a 1L of sparking water all for 120MAD!! 12€ is simply amazing. This meal in California USA would be over $30USD!

Definitely go there. Vegan or not, you will love it!

Pros: Freshly made vegan food , Very inexpensive!!, Large quantities

Cons: None

Amazing vegan restaurant

Small family restaurant in the Medina. Lost of tajines but you can actually choose the veggies on it, many combinations. They also have falafel, pastas and salads. It's a no brainer if you are vegan. And the family running it is very cute.

Pros: Fully vegan , Cute family restaurant , Delicious and cheap food

All-vegan

Sweet little spot with all vegan food! The dishes are Moroccon traditional and it was fun eating couscous without thinking that it may have been cooked in meat broth! The look out onto the square is lovely. I paid only 60 MAD for a soup, couscous and a drink.

Pros: All-vegan , Very affordable , Female run business

Cons: Long wait times , There was a young girl working there as a waitres

Excellent meal

Was thrilled to find a fully vegan restaurant that is Moroccan owned. The food is absolutely delicious- includes many tagine options (chickpeas, eggplant, cauliflower, etc), falafel, soups, cous cous and other traditional Moroccan dishes. The owner is a very nice woman who opened the restaurant as a tribute to her daughter who has been vegan since she was 2 years old. Menu is in French and English. Highly recommend.

Pros: Lots of different options, Inexpensive, Delicious food

Great vegan find in Morocco

I have found it pretty difficult to find good vegan food in Morocco as there is not a lot of awareness of it in this country which is why it was so nice to find this little restaurant! Nice location in a pretty square, food was cheap but very tasty, extensive menu and everything was vegan. The tajines were amazing and they make fresh juices that are divine. Ran by a few very friendly women (didn't speak english but just point to what you want and they will bring it for you). Complementary bread, olives and fresh fruit before the meal was a lovely touch.

Pros: 100% vegan (very rare in morocco), Friendly staff, Delicious food

Cute little vegan restaurant ran by women

We have heen mostly eating here during our stay for different reasons: tasty food, cheap, the restaurant is ran by nice women, 100% vegan, fresh prepared, different choices (spring rolls, spaghetti, many different tajines, falafel (many small balls with a lot of garlic-taste avocado bread), couscous, different soups,...)

We felt comfortable here and liked to spend our money tip in this cute small restaurant

Pros: cheap, friendly, cute owners, Different vegan options from Tajine to Spaghetti

Cons: Takes quite some time to get your food
