Local favourite - Edit
I'm always down for Shoku. Small plates so you can try a bunch of different vegan items. I always go for the tofu bao, it's great. I don't usually go for the vegan sushi because of the price, but it's good (cabbage on top is trying to replicate raw fish, I think, so not everyone might like that). Inari, skewers, tempura. Just wish they had a vegan miso soup.

Yummy rolls - Edit
Got the vegan roll, hand roll, bao buns and Tokyo fries. All were yummy, but the bao buns could use more sauce or mayo as they were quite dry.

Vegan roll - Edit
Highly recommend the vegan roll and bao. My husband picked it up to go when I was working, and it travels well.

Amazing sushi! - Edit
They have many vegan options, it was hard to choose. I had the spicy tofu bao bun, it was great, maybe a bit dry. The vegan maki roll was crazy delicious though!

Vegan options seem like an afterthought - Edit
We ordered 4 vegan items from the menu and were a bit disappointed. Vegan sushi wasn't particularly good with vegetables randomly placed in the roll without much thought to the flavours working together, cabbage covered in vegan mayo on top which was a bit slimy and didn't work.
Read moreTwo of the items were fried, reasonable tasting but so is pretty much anything fried..
The smoked tofu chilli bao buns were good.
Overall it's a lovely set up in there but it seems like they've have just thrown together a few vegan items without much thought. Expected better.
Pros: Vibe
Cons: Limited vegan options , Mostly fried options

Yummy! - Edit
Exciting to have tempura (well, battered deep fried veggies, it's not exactly tempura, but it tastes great especially with the vegan broth) and vegan sushi. The vegan sushi, which comes in both hand roll and cut roll style, is not just your basic cucumber or avocado sushi. It has a great mix of ingredients and comes drizzled with a vegan mayo sauce.
