Quick and delicious! - Edit
Yummy and gluten free too (not all of us are, but the food was good for those who eat wheat too). Fresh baguettes! Ice cream, tons of cookies, bagels. One page menu for entree items (mostly cold, but great hot pizza).

A-MAZE-ING!!! - Edit
We’ve eaten at three vegan restaurants in the last three days; one in Springfield, Ma, one in Hartford, CT, and finally at Shayna’s in Westbrook, Ct. Holy Happy Cow, this one is hands down one for the memory books. Little finds like this are what makes traveling so awesome. Gluten free and vegan and DELICIOUS. We had two pizzas - the chicken Caesar and the Hawaiian BBQ. They were to die for. We also got two everything bagels we are saving for the morning. I would say the pizzas were well priced for lunch entrees of this caliber and in line with the prices of the other two restaurants we visited. The bagels seemed a little steep at $22 for a half dozen so we only got two. Definitely stop here if you’re passing through. This is the kind of place you can take non-vegan friends and relatives and they will love it too!

Bakery rocks! - Edit
Loved all the many vegan bakery options! Pop tarts were excellent. We also had lunch - pizza, red lentil soup, and a Buddha bowl. All was excellent. Ate outside at one of the two cute wooden tables.

Stopped by because we were in the area and got the pizza and cheese cake. They were both delicious. Want to try everything but I live too far away. Will definitely make this a stop anytime I am in the area.

Awesome eats - Edit
I never thought I'd find a vegan restaurant that I could get enthusiastic about, but Shayna's does the trick. The entrees are excellent but the desserts are even better. You'd truly have no idea that what you're eating is vegan. Much of what they serve is as good as "mainstream" food.

Friendly and good pizza - Edit
I really enjoyed the hawaiian bbq pizza. Mostly enjoy their savory foods instead of the sweets. Food is fresh tasting not highly processed. Would have given 5 stars but drink selection is limited and some baked goods I did not care for. Owner/staff is extremely friendly and food is delivered in a timely fashion. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Nestled between a liquor store and fire station, it’s easy to pass on the road, but pull in and be pleasantly surprised. Try everything.

Adorable and delicious! - Edit
Stopped in here while driving through Old Saybrook on a road trip and was delighted. I’m vegan and my husband is gluten-free so we rarely find bakeries that cater 100% to both of us... and when they do, they’re not often all that good. He had an oatmeal cookie and I had a brownie and both were excellent. Additionally, the staff was friendly and brought us a bowl of water for our dog (and threw in a few head scratches). We will definitely try to swing through here again, maybe a little earlier in the day next time!

Happy Vegan Family - Edit
Amazing vegan, gluten-free bakery and cafe. Our family of 6 tried most of the yummy bakery items along with the brunch offering of tofu scramble and pancakes. My son can't stop raving about the tofu scramble, and the pancakes were amazing as well. We'll try the lunch offerings this week.

Great bakery case - Edit
Bakery case with lots of options. I've had many of their cookies and always enjoyed them. The one entree I tried here I did not care for, but I think that's just my personal taste. They have my business because of the sweet treats.

Excellent Vegan Restaurant - Edit
Shana bees by the Sea restaurant in Old Saybrook is awesome. From the adorable design of the restaurant, to the large variety of pizzas and wraps , sandwiches, soups and desserts, they were all very appealing. We had the Hawaiian pizza , lentil soup with a grilled cheese slider (which was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life even before I became a vegan), and my friend had a chicken salad wrap. We had to take some to go Plus added for desserts and also great coffee. One of my favorite things was meeting the owner ,Christine. She was pretty amazing too.

Exclusively vegan and gluten free. Healthy and delicious. I had the pesto pizza and my husband had the Hawaiian. Both were excellent, then we split a mac and cheese. Would definitely frequent weekly if I lived in the area.

Wonderful vegan cafe - Edit
We live over an hour away, and drove here just to try it out. Well worth the trip! Phenomenal vegan food, and very friendly people. I had the Hawaiian pizza with the recommended hot sauce - what a great flavor profile that was. My husband had the calzone, which was also very good. Delicious baked goods as well. We'll definitely be making the trip again soon.

The entire menu sounded delicious. I went with the pesto pizza. It was unique and tasty. Good portion. Warm and the gluten free crust was on point! Also ordered a selection of desserts — raw pie, cookie dough truffle & vegan hostess cupcake to go. The bagels looked delicious- will definitely try one next time
