Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurants typically offers some vegetable/vegetarian dishes. Open Tue-Thu 5:00pm-9:00pm, Fri-Sun 5:00pm-9:30pm.
currently our favorite indian food in town. great food, our go to is navratan. the owners are very friendly and attentive to detail. the dishes we have tried were not overly oily which is refreshing.
First, I want to say that I was very grateful and impressed with their knowledge of what vegans can and can't eat. As soon as I stated that I was vegan, I was informed of what my options were. The samosas were very bland as was the pakora, but I did enjoy the aloo gobi. If I return here it will probably be just because of the good customer service.
We visited Sharma's Kitchen on our way to Chicago. We were worried based on other reviews that we would not be able to tell which dishes were vegan so we asked the hostess if they had many vegan dishes. She was happy to show us which buffet items were vegan -plenty to choose from- and the waiter brought us delicious dairy free bread. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. HappyCow only lets us rate non-veg restaurants up to 4 stars but we had no complaints.
Hard to easily tell what is vegan without asking. Buffet has lots of options, but sometimes the labeling isn't clear about what is in the dish. But so many of the dishes on the buffet were vegetarian, that there is PLENTY to eat if you are vegetarian.
Decent experience at Sharma's Kitchen. Fantastic food options in the buffet including saag paneer, eggplant bharta, and dal. The paneer or chicken option on a hot plate as you select from the buffet is a welcome option; however, it wasn't really spiced that well. Also the onions that came on the hot plate needed to be stirred immediately otherwise one side would be burnt and the other side would be raw.
Decent chai to wash it down, good kheer & gulab jamun for desserts.
After one full plate, I was actually stuffed. I'd recommend going on an empty stomach if you want to get your full worth here.
Will definitely revisit the next time I'm in town.
Sharma's buffet is to die for!! They always have 5-6 vegetarian main dishes along with many other sides and a delicious mango beverage! They serve naan and paneer to start out as soon as you walk in. Try to save room for the dessert too! The atmosphere is delightful and the staff is very attentive. Water glasses are never empty. All you can devour for $15! Go hungry!!
