Really delicious gourmet burgers, hot dogs, cakes, ‘sausage’ rolls etc. Does ‘fish’ and chips on a Friday night. Entirely vegan.

As a family of 5 embarking on our new vegan adventure we found this little gem with a quick search on google. The food was amazing and we also had a great chat with the owner who was more than happy to give advice, opinions and help for us newbies. We would highly recommend giving this place a go!

Friendly place! Tried their american pancakes with blueberries, banana, maple syrup and vegan vanilla ice cream. I could have had another plate of it, it was amazing!! I wish they were on the bottom floor so more people could see the restaurant and be interested to go in!

My partner and I enjoyed a pre theatre burger and wedges, smoothie and a cup of tea at the weekend. Such a lovely guy running it - really friendly and the food was delicious. Highly recommended. So nice to be somewhere where we didn't have to ask what was vegan!!!

My first visit to Shakers Dairy Free today was amazing and so friendly. My burger was freshly made and delicious, as was the key lime pie shake which was to die for! The only difficulty was which ones to chose, as they all sounded so good up there on the menu board. The diner is fun, bright and very clean, and has a well stocked shop too full of vegan goodies. Thanks so much, I ‘ll be back soon! Don’t hesitate to give it a go, you’ll love it too! 🥒🍋🍅🤗

Had the wahaca stack burger and notella shake and both were lovely. Choice of about 5 or 6 vegan burgers, curly fries, over 20 different shake flavours and various cakes and hot drinks. Staff were very friendly.

Amazing food and treats. Lovely welcoming staff and very reasonable prices. Me and my partner can't avoid popping in when we are in Colchester. We're working our way through the milkshakes. Also check out the emporium next door some cool finds in there! Definitely recommend you check this place out, you won't regret it.

Had a yummy shake and a burger. Both were very tasty, and the service was very friendly. However it’d be nice if the shakes where served in reusable ware if people are staying in instead of single use plastic. Next time I’d make sure to bring my keepcup.

Popped in for a vegan milkshake and some takeaway goodies. We was met by really friendly, helpful staff. The menu had lots of delicious vegan options at great prices. We’ll definitely visit again very soon.
