The best place for vegan food in Chamonix - Edit
Sesame is -by far- the best place for vegans in Chamonix.
Read moreThe menu is (at the moment) 95% vegan.
But I've been told they may add more non-vegan dishes because vegan clients are not so numerous in Chamonix, so, if you are in town, please support them so that they don't need to do that.
About the food, it's delicious, although I must say that portions could be a bit more generous.
We had lunch and dinner and we really enjoyed everything we had, with the tapas being a highlight for us.
The staff is lovely and very attentive, so the overall dining experience was wonderful.
Pros: almost completely vegan, lovely staff, good food
Cons: not all vegan

Amazing food and service!! - Edit
Amazing spot with truly delicious food. While it was originally fully vegan and now includes some non-vegan items, there’s still an excellent selection of outstanding vegan dishes. Definitely worth a visit!

Best Veg Spot in Chamonix! - Edit
Such a cute, homey spot for an intimate lunch or dinner. Almost everything is vegan (they even had a “faux” gras special!) A MUST if you’re veg and in Chamonix! We will probably go back again to try more of the menu.

Good quality food but pricey - Edit
The ingredients were fresh and home made/ good quality. I had the vegan burger with focaccia bread (they didn't have vegan cheese so it got substituted by avocado). Was nice but a bit soggy like the fries. Hot chocolate was amazing. Ended up being 28€ which is quite pricey for french standards for a burger fries and hot chocolate. A shame that they are no longer 100% vegan to be inclusive towards non vegans..

98% of their menu is vegan! - Edit
Everything is vegan unless noted otherwise! We had a pain au chocolat, roasted eggplant, a coffee and hot chocolate. It was all amazing! Only regret is we didn’t take a croissant to go!

Soooo good! - Edit
The whole family loved this place and most of the menu was vegan! The staff were super friendly and spoke perfect English! We had the burgers (which were delicious) and also one Thai curry, also very good, and followed by cheesecake and orange cake! The whole experience was amazing and I would definitely recommend!

Great udon and seitan - Edit
We ordered the miso-based ramen and the udon teriyaki bowl and both were great! If you are looking for a lot of plant protein, you'll probably have to ask the server to add extra seitan since there wasn't a ton in our dishes.

Decent Vegan Food - Edit
I believe this was the only vegetarian place in Chamonix, and we understood that all but one dish (halloumi fries) on the menu was vegan, so we stopped by for a late lunch on a day trip to Chamonix. It was a very small menu, and for us personally it was a bit unexciting, but it served us well enough.
Read moreI had the falafel bowl, which was ok. There were three falafel, they were quite dry but well seasoned. It was a slightly scant portion of hummus, and under seasoned for me. The tabbouleh was fine, quite fresh and flavoursome. There were only two small triangles of pita, that was disappointing. For the advertised roasted veg, I only got three bits of butternut squash that were slightly underdone, they still had a little too much bite. There was some good seasoning on the salad dressing and spicy sauce.
My mum got the hummus and focaccia from the smaller plates section. She received pita, but we saw them baking focaccia later, which made me wonder if the restaurant is more geared towards evening service. The hummus served with oil and seeds, and it was very smooth. She enjoyed it.
And my partner got the burger. It was a meaty, juicy patty. There was a good chunk of cheese but it tasted just like Violife, nothing too exciting, and there was very little sun-dried tomato. Ths sauces were well seasoned, and it was all in a good robust bun. If you want fries, you need to order them separately (we did not get any, but we were asked).
We really wanted chocolate marquise for dessert, but they were sold out of all but one dessert: cheesecake. My mum tried that one. The base was nutty and that was the main flavour she detected. The cheesy part was a bit bland or overwhelmed by the base, and it was semi frozen. She liked it though.
Service was great, really welcoming and unrushed. There was lots of outdoor seating, but we sat indoors - the seating is upstairs and the toilet is downstairs. We paid at the counter downstairs.

Excellent vegan meal. Highly recommend! - Edit
A wonderful variety of fresh locally sourced food presented artistically. Owner very kind and thoughtful. We got many tapas and a main dish ——all were amazing. Dessert was delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are vegan. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because they offer one dish with cheese. Other than this the whole menu of vegan.

Best place for vegans in Chamonix - Edit
Lovely terrace with big sofas to enjoy the warmer seasons, super friendly staff, and everything on the menu was vegan except for one dish containing halloumi cheese. The tapas were particularly delicious, the miso aubergine with a minty sauce was simply incredible.

High quality complex flavours - Edit
Was very excited to try this place given the amount of vegan options, was pleasantly surprised that everything on the menu (bar halloumi fries) was vegan! There was lots to choose from, we had the seitan teryaki and houmous from the main menu - both delicious! We also went for three different specials, miso aubergine, potatoes with aoili and portobello mushrooms. All out of this world delicious. You can really tell the chef cares about the menu.

On recommande totalement.

Okay - Edit
There are not alot of vegan options in Chamonix but was excited to see a veg restaurant. The waiter(owner?) Was very nice and the other employee. I got the burger and fries. The burger wasn't bad but definitely needed to be cooked longer. The fries had it's own mont blanc. I didn't eat the fries.

Really wanted to like - Edit
Enjoyed the hummus plate, although said it was homemade focaccia but got pita bread. Got the special with seitan but it was not that tasty and sort of watery. The sauce was cold. Really wanted to like this place. Didn't have a chance to give it another try.

The Veg Spot in Town - Edit
Nice to have lots of vegan options. I got a leek salad tapas (it was ok) and the burger (great). I did witness the main person working be very rude to some customers who had asked for something gluten free, so that sort of turned me off.

AMAZING - Edit
We came here for dinner after a great day hiking. It was more than we could have expected. Everything is vegan unless specifically stated at vegetarian. Everything we tried was absolutely fantastic. Falafel bowl, yellow Thai curry, burger and drinks. Fabulous atmosphere, friendly staff. Couldn't have asked for a better spot! Will definitely visit again ☺️

Cozy atmosphere, convenient location, great music playlist, avocado toasts & dessert were okay and pricey, burger was tasty, friendly service but slow. Mixed feelings. The place has some potential. Probably the restaurant with the largest animal cruelty-free offer in Chamonix.
