This place has a local pizza parlor vibe, rather than a gourmet pizza restaurant. The slices were not the best we ever had, but they were good, and it's especially nice to go to to a pizzeria where you know that all the slices are vegan.

They used to have a “hole in the wall” location in Greenpoint. This one looks so spacious. Unfortunately, the Greenpoint one closed down recently. Same thoughts on my end - not the best slices but so nice that everything is vegan.

The driver got there to find a fully closed/dark Screamers. ChowNow can't refund me because the money went to the restaurant. They won't pick up the phone or answer on IG.

Update: best vegan pizza, worst delivery service. Rarely get the pizza you order, inconsistent crust quality, with at least 30 mins+ delays, and one cancellation (after a 30 min delay). Get it together, Screamer's.

Screamers convinced me that New York-style pizza is legit and not just talk. I’m from the West Coast so whenever I’ve had “New York style” pizza that is not in New York, it’s always been just okay. I guess for some things, you just have to get it straight from the source.
My favs from Screamers:
- Fancy kale: seitan sausage and spicy pesto with marinated kale that cuts through the vegan cheese
- Clean slide: similar to above but with broccolini
- Green Scream: cremini and oyster mushroom on red sauce with spinach
- Vampire: garlicky enough to kill the undead
Sells by the slice and in full pies. I haven’t made it past the pizza but Screamers also carries sandwiches, calzones, seitan wings, and zeppoles for dessert.

If you’re craving vegan pizza, Screamers is really good! Ordered takeout so the food was inevitably a bit cold. But after popping it in the oven at home it was quite tasty. The crust and breading was especially good. Kinda pricy.

Absolutely delicious. Aussie here and loving NYC crispy bottom pizza. We had Pepperoni and the Screamer along with a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich! We stayed in Hoboken and travelled 1.5 hrs on Public Transport to get here and were VERY HAPPY we did.

I would stay clear of this place if I were you. I really wanted to love this place. We had been dreaming about it ever since we planned our trip to Brooklyn. But it was absolutely terrible. Our order was wrong and there was absolutely NO WAY to get in touch with anyone to correct it. The phone number listed is disconnected, Grub hub wouldn't recognize the order since we did it through the restaurant website. It was a nightmare. AND a waste of almost $100.

It was so frustrating trying to get any customer service so we finally gave up. Never ever again. Suggest you stay away from delivery from this place. Save yourself the heartache.

The place is a little small and not very clean, it seems more like a place made for take away than a restaurant to eat in situ. The pizzas were correct, we ordered two large pizzas: the Reuben (with seitan) and the Pepperoni. They were good but overall the experience disappointed me a little.
