Interesting events - Edit
When I lived in Liverpool I attended some events organised by this group, such as a hunt sabbing workshop, and I've also been on the buses they organise to large demos in other parts of the country. This was a few years back, but they seemed generally a friendly bunch, so if you are in the area I'd recommend going to a meeting or event.

Scouseveg, Liverpool - Edit
I used to go along to their get togethers on and off for about 13 years. It's a friendly enough bunch who get together once a month on the 1st Friday of each month. The venue is The Egg Café (central Liverpool isn't exactly spoiled for choice of all vego venues). There's an email list and facebook group for informal discussion. There's also occasional other events take place as well other organised by the same people or with details passed on via the scouseveg group.
