Cute gluten-free ice cream spot, not mindblowing - Edit
This place mainly serves nadamoo ice cream, which generally makes the money less worthwhile as I could pay less for a whole pint of the exact same thing if I went to the supermarket instead.
Read moreAnyhow, we decided to order the ice cream cookie sandwich, with one each of brownie batter and chocolate chip cookies, and maple pecan ice cream filling. The cookies were alright - i appreciate how it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet, yet the texture was very quintessentially gluten free and quite tough to chew on. Not the best kind of cookie to sandwich soft creamy gelato.
However, I must say that the decor was incredibly cute. Appreciate the existence of this shop, but wouldn’t list it as a must-visit.

Scoops Dessert Bar - Edit
Very OK vegan ice cream. I got the strawberry cheesecake ice cream, recommended as the top seller, and it was not for me unfortunately. I guess I was expecting more.

Disappointing - Edit
The only pro is that it’s all vegan. Otherwise, the ice cream is just ok, donuts are dry, and it’s very expensive for the small portions.

An all vegan dessert shop right in the center of River North?! - Edit
This is great. This place is big and bold, right in the popular River North area of Chicago. They use Nada Moo ice cream and have their own baked goods. When I stopped by, there was a line out the door. They don’t have any cones (???!!!), but they do ice cream sandwiches with cookies.

Fine - Edit
My heart sank when I walked in and realized that their ice creams are all from NadaMoo, which is available on grocery stores. $6 for a single scoop when you can get an entire pint at Whole Foods for a little less than that was highway robbery. (Granted, they carry flavors you might not normally see at grocery locations.) I would expect housemade ice cream at this price point. Wouldn't return.

Really? How much do you think the rent is for that space on State Street?

Amazing Ice cream! - Edit
The ice cream is so good; I got peppermint bark! And you can get a bunch of flavors in pints!

Great addition to the Gold Coast! - Edit
I have to preface it by saying I didn't try any of their baked goods but it was really nice to see a big selection of NadaMoo ice cream and I *loved* their swings! I would honestly go back just for another swing on a swing but having a cup of ice cream isn't such a bad reason to come out, too.

Great Desserts - Edit
Great place to go when your sweet tooth is ringing. They have cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, etc. They even will make an ice cream sandwich for you with the cookies and ice cream. Only giving 4 stars because the cookies were hard and would have made my ice cream sandwich way more enjoyable if soft.

The best vegan gluten free spot in Chicago - Edit
I’ve been going so much because I live close by and it’s dangerous how good everything is and the wide assortment of stuff they have. The owner Brittany is the sweetest woman who always wants customers happy so she does it all to make me happy every time. Their Fall menu is delic! Must try pumpkin and apple pie, apple cider donuts and pumpkin spice donuts, all the cookies, and cookie ice cream sandwich omg YUM!!! I ordered custom cupcakes for my boss and she loved them. I heard bagels and chocolate covered apples are coming next week YAY!

Baked goods are a bust - Edit
I was so excited to stop by this place. I wasn't hungry when I went by there, so I didn't get ice cream, which from the other reviews seems to be the best thing to get there. I picked up a pumpkin muffin and a four-pack of cupcakes ($27). Hours later, I tried one of the chocolate cupcakes. Both the cake itself and the frosting had a weird flavor. It was what I'd expect from cupcakes out of a bakery at Walmart, not a local bakery specializing in vegan foods. The next morning I tried the pumpkin muffin, and it wasn't very good either. It was dense yet seemed under baked in some places. Overall, I was really unhappy with my purchase. Also, the ice cream is just from NadaMoo, an Austin brand. I can buy it at the grocery stores at home, so I imagine it's the same here. Probably better to buy it yourself and skip this place.

I generally feel this way about all gf baked goods. They are always a little off, sometimes way off. I guess, for people with celiac or gluten intolerance, this is a big thing. I let them have their gf stuff and I go for the ice cream.

Delicious! - Edit
Stopped on a whim while in town and was not disappointed. Got an ice cream sandwich and you can choose between any cookie flavor (they had 4-5 flavors) and any ice cream flavor. Brownie cookie and mint chip ice cream was so good.

The best! - Edit
Women owned business! Owner is so incredibly welcoming, her space is clean and great for the Instas! The ice cream is delicious and vegan and gluten free so it doesn't hurt your tummy. You would never know the difference between regular ice cream. I highly recommend! Great spot for a local hangout, AND I heard they are getting their liquor license soon.

Love it!! - Edit
This place just opened up and is woman owned! She has exceptional customer service and for being so busy was very caring towards all of us in line. I ordered a vanilla milkshake which was exceptional and I had a churro donut which was delicious!! Their coffee is so good too! Highly recommend!!

Go for ice cream not donuts or muffins - Edit
I really really wanted to love this place; however, the doughnuts are very dense and underwhelming. I wanted to get mini donuts but for some reason the employees said you can only buy them at a dozen so I had to spend $19 to try them. The churro donut and chocolate donut were okay but nothing I would go back for. Had a lemon poppy muffin ($6) also meh. Ice cream is good but I can get nada moo ice cream at whole foods and a whole pint for the price of a scoop here. It's a cute place though and I hope it does well bc I always want a vegan place to succeed but hope they change their donut recipe.

AMAZING - Edit
This place is amazing!! Delicious! The mini churro donut on top of vanilla ice cream was absolute delicious. The ice cream sandwich with red velvet cookies and cold brew ice cream was bomb!! The environment and the owner is exceptional. I will be a regular and highly suggest to anyone who has a sweet tooth.

Great ice cream - Edit
The ice cream was delicious but I wasn’t a fan of the mini donuts as they were a bit hard and dry. The shop is cute though and instagramable! Also when I was there no prices were listed for anything which is not great because I don’t have endless money to spend.

You must have gone for their grand opening when their system was down because their menus are up now and everything is amazing! Definitely go back and give it a try because there's nothing like it in mine and my friends groups opinion in Chicago, and, what can be expected perfect on a grand opening? YUM!
