Wow! - Edit
While I can't say that I was a big fan of the cake or the ice coffee I had here, the buffet was absolutely sensational! The food was fresh and tasty, and not swimming in oil or covered in salt. There was plenty of variety with lots of protein dishes and vegetable dishes also.
You absolutely MUST try the vegan ice cream here. It was some of the best I've ever had anywhere.
Pros: Excellent food, Amazing low price, Really friendly owners

Serious Vegan Buffet - Edit
Yes it's true Vegan Buffet from 1pm to 10pm. I arrived at 5pm so it looks like a fresh amount of food has just come out from the kitchen. There are few Vegan Buffets anywhere except for a Hare Krishna around the globe. A special treat with plenty of options. SAWOBALI is also a nice little bakery as well as a neat statue gift shop. Enjoy!
Pros: Buffet has 10 trays of options, Fair price for a buffet!, Centrally located with lots of parking
Cons: n/a

Try the buffet! - Edit
Fully vegan (also gluten free) buffet was great as a dinner. Traditional balinese flavours, not too oily and many options for an affortable price. Really liked the food and the owners are friendly too. Tried those gluten free vegan cookies as well but the were bad...
Pros: Good value, Great food, Cute place
Cons: Desserts not that good

Great buffet, but gluten free vegan cake not so good - Edit
It´s nice to get to a vegan buffet now and then, because restaurant food portions in Ubud are often a bit small. Eating at Sawobali becomes cheaper than eg. ordering a starter and main course elsewhere. And the food in the buffet was fresh and they had also tofu and tempe + some kind of mock meat.
Only on the lowest row of the cake shelf they have some vegan cakes, they are marked with "v". But I don´t think it´s good that the vegan cakes are also gluten free (these cakes are marked vgf = vegan gluten free). I had lemon cake and the cake bottom was what the gluten free cakes are at their worst = not spongy, light or fluffy, but instead a clump of moisture flour. All the other cakes looked like they had the same kind of bottom. But I hope all are not the same.
At least on 22nd October 2016 they still had a couple of meat options on their menu, so it´s not completely vegetarian restaurant.
Pros: Great buffet, Buffet is cheap compared to Ubud restaurant prices
Cons: Vegan cakes are gluten free and not good, You may get mistaken that all cakes would be vegan

The vegan buffet has so many options - including heaps of soy proteins. Friendly service and ALL THE CAKES! Easy to find on the main road and heaps of parking out the front.

Fantastic vegan buffet and so much more! - Edit
Fresh, flavorful, variety of vegan dishes on buffet, which changes daily. Rice included, red or white, as well as soup. Today there is a mix of sautéed potatoes; spicy tempeh; scrambled tofu; mashed pumpkin; coconut veg mix; curried peanut leaf with red beans; and more. Simply delicious!! There was a steady stream of regular customers (including takeaways). I'll definitely be joining the regulars. No space left to try one of the mouthwatering variety of vegan cakes (carrot, tiramisu, best chocolate ever, etc.), or ice cream, so may have to make a second visit later on. No problem at these prices! 50k for buffet, 25k for large slice of cake. Seriously a favorite!
Pros: flavor, variety, selection, value
