Message to anyone trying to start a vegan burger/junk joint, please do not treat the customer like an idiot.
You may then survive.

during lockdown I visited this place a few times when it first opened and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, the shop was rough around the edges and felt very unfinished inside, but the staff were great, the food was alright and after they offered discounts for walk-ins i really appreciated it, but i returned a few weeks ago and wasn't impressed.
Read moreThe menu is now MASSIVE, i spoke to one of the staff when they opened and they suggested healthier options were being developed but a year on, the menu is horrific, battered burgers, battered pizza, everything drowning in BBQ sauces - i spoke to one of the staff and they told me the deep fried pizza is Chicago town - which is ironic since the shop is sandwiched in between two lovely italian restaurants.
The décor inside is still dead, untouched since it opened up and the prices are through the roof,
I tried the mac and cheese, battered slice of pizza, big hot dog, teriyaki wrap and bacon cheese burger.
The burger was fine, tiny patty, i asked the staff and they said i could upgrade to two full beyond pattys (they cut them in half) and it would only cost £15(!!!!mental!!!). Staff were helpful in letting us know what the products were and where they came from - i was just shocked at the price since you can get it all for a fraction of the cost 2/10
Mac n cheese tasted of nothing, just like plain white sauce with onions on top and overcooked pasta 1/10
Pizza was greasy and heavy, box was dripping with grease and gave me indigestion, cheap supermarket pizza with chewy batter 0/10
wrap was just cubes of seitan drenched in "japanese" bbq sauce. dead. 0/10
The big hot dog was just a mess. Served on a baguette with tons of cheap barbeque sauce, and because of the hot dog and slaw and bbq and bacon it was just a slippery mess that just went everywhere. 2/10
glad they're still open, but the menu is just 20 variations of the same boring food at a gigantic inflated price. I'll check back in another year and see if they've improved any.
I know the owners are struggling to make ends meet but if it was a nicer place to eat/sit/be in and the prices were just a bit cheaper, i'd come in more often and they could sell significantly more food.

We've eaten at their previous venues so obviously also had to order from Saucy. While the food is definitely not healthy, it is really delicious. My partner is a big fan of burgers so he absolutely enjoyed his burger. The burger sauces are really nice and the fries are tasty too. Definitely a great place to order from when eating with people who are suspicious of vegan food...

Due to current covid restrictions I haven’t had chance to visit but had takeaway a fair few times now and they have the best vegan chicken I’ve ever tried, I absolutely love it. The meat eating boyfriend is a massive fan as well which is a bonus! The only problem we’ve had is that the chocolate on the Jaffa cake melted off because it was kept on top of the hot food, still tasted good though 😂

If you're after a delicious vegan junk food fix then look no further. Everything at Saucy has been carefully crafted to provide a delightful taste and texture experience. The crispy chicken together with the katsu curry sauce has to be one of the best flavour combinations available. And don't miss out on the desserts... the almond blondie with salted caramel sauce is divine!

Had the classic chicken burger with fries and it was delicious! Very close to chicken with taste and texture if that's what you're looking for. Also the mayo was amazing, I see why they're called Saucy!

Saucy have an extremely limited delivery zone unfortunately, but, ever dedicated to trying good vegan food, my husband and I travelled to a friend's house who live near Abbeydale Road, just to be near enough to give it a try! It was worth the effort. The burgers, fries and slaw were all absolutely top-notch. So tasty! Highly recommend :)

Ive never had mock chicken this good, the owners really understand how it should be made and cooked. Chips were tasty too so Id recommend the katsu burger or chicken and chips box.

We had the katsu chicken burger on recommendation, and beef bacon cheese burger they were sooo tasty, my favourite was the chicken burger, the "meat" and batter just tasted exactly like KFC to me, even closer to KFC than the KFCs own vegan burger!! Highly recommend whether you are vegan or not I'm sure you will love it. Definitelt want to try more of their options. Chips also delicious and perfectly cooked as were the ranch and BBQ dips!
