Too pricey for houselike sandwiches - Edit
First time here and the market/deli is a weird set up. The girl working didn't greet me. $8 for a sandwich on two slices of bread from a bag is crazy. Nothing spectacular at all.

Came famished after a hike and got some sandwiches and cookies as well as a few things for our pantry. The sandwiches from the fridge tasted fresh like they were just made today. Very filling and delicious!

Love that it’s all vegan with some interesting products you don’t see elsewhere. Absolutely loved the breakfast burrito the first time we had it, but the next time we went it was dripping with so much grease that it spoiled our enjoyment of it. We’ll try it again sometime & hope it’s better!

A very friendly, laid-back team in an unassuming location. The short menu boasts creative Vegan twists on classic dishes, bursting with rich flavors. They made me the most amazing faux meat sandwich I've ever had! 😋 I kept checking it to be sure it was really Vegan!

Read moreI had the Reuben from the fresh made menu and both my husband who is not vegan and I both really enjoyed it. I grabbed a premade sandwhich for lunch the next day that was amazing. I dont remember what the sandwich was called but it had jalepenos, vegan deli meat, lettuce, and tomato. I'll most defitnetly stop here again the next time im down in San Diego.

The market has lots of options from small and/or local brands as well as big name brands. They have frozen foods, drinks, snacks, dry goods and self care products. They have a great deli with amazing sandwiches, burritos and wraps. There is also a grab and go fridge with quick lunch options and sweets.

San Diego Vegan Market offers a wide selection of vegan goodies, including many that are hard to find elsewhere. As a sweets lover, I appreciate the selection of chocolates and candy bars that make my inner child happy. They also offer food and host pop-ups with other local vegan shops. Support local!

We love SD vegan market! They have so many great items and great prices. Lots of variety. I love Veg’n Out kitchen located in there, especially when they do fun lil pop up style events. Recently they’ve had a summer vibe with sundays. They did BBQ and a Hawaiian BBQ day. Freaking delish.

I have never been one to like sandwiches but the vegan deli converted me, the sandwiches so good! The other specialty menus have been so delicious, they never miss. The Indian menu and chicken sandwiches are superb. Owner and chef are both super kind and attentive (as are all the other employees I’ve interacted with). The store has reasonably priced vegan items and delicious locally made treats (I am obsessed with the baklava). This is definitely a “specialty food” store so you won’t be able to complete all of your grocery shopping but it’s such a relief to be able to be confident that new finds are vegan without triple checking the ingredients list.

SD Vegan Market is the most unique vegan spot in San Diego. They offer a variety of vegan snacks, foods, groceries, and personal care items. I love coming here to try new things that I know are vegan without having to check! The selection is a bit small, but think of it as like.....a vegan 7/11, but way better quality products.

Edited because the location changed. This place has grown up a lot! It is now much nicer looking but that also came with an inflated price tag. Still a good spot for obscure vegan items and the deli is reasonable and tasty.
