So first things first, it was good authentic Southeast Asian vegan food.
Read moreBut nowhere else in my life have I been asked to pay €3.50 each for a glass of *tap water* with my dinner. They charged me €7 for two glasses of water. I paid the same for a cup of tea as for tap water!
Upon arrival I was told “cash only” because apparently the machine wasn’t working. I am happy to be understanding of a business whose tech is failing. But at the very least, if you demand customers pay in cash, you can be ready to tell them where the nearest ATM is. Apparently she had no idea.
My dish was almost served to another table. When they rejected in, and I said “Oh, that’s mine”, the staff argued that no, it is what the couple who were rejecting it had ordered, and not what I ordered. BIZARRE.

The waitress who served us was incredibly kind and friendly, helping break down the language barrier when ordering and giving my mum salted limes for free to help with her cough!

I’ve had my eye on this restaurant for awhile. I noticed it’s not very busy compared to the other restaurants on the block, but it’s the only veg one. I’ve been to numerous veg Vietnamese restaurants in Berlin and this one is pretty average compared to the quality of the other ones. I found it a bit expensive too, a chilled juice was 4 euros! Compare to 2.5 euros at the other restaurants. I would skip this one.

Plenty of clearly labeled vegan options. My pad Thai was delicious and came out with spices separate so I could make it as spicy as I wanted. Portions were good and prices very reasonable! Also a super convenient location if you’re visiting Berlin doing touristy things.

Amazing dishes - Edit
One of Berlins many nice restaurants for Vietnamese (and Southeast Asian food). A lot of options, and many of the non-vegan dishes can be prepared vegan on request.

It's worth visiting this nice restaurant with friendly staff. There are also a lot of room, so there are a good change that there are a vacant seating.

There are so few veggie friendly options near the Reichstag and Brandenburger gate in Sundays, so we were super grateful to find this place open. The noodle bowls were really tasty and it was really friendly service.

Vegan/vegetarian only Asian restaurant with some outdoor seating. Has existed since 1994. Many vegan options. South-east Asian cuisine. Quick friendly service. Venue is a little basic and run down. But it’s also reasonably priced.

My biggest disappointment in Berlin - Edit
Huge disappointment. The service is very nice, but the dishes themselves are quite small for the price and average in terms of taste. Of course, I am writing this from the perspective of my personal experiences and the fact that they were the most numerous in Poland, where I often eat dishes of this type of cuisine and are many times tastier. At the same time, I would like to clarify that I don't normally make such comparisons and try to judge the place itself. This is probably the lowest-rated restaurant in Berlin by me. Another disadvantage would be the lack of the possibility of using additional spices and additives, which I am used to in the case of restaurants serving dishes from this region. The dishes are bland and unimaginative which is surprising considering the restaurant is run by Asians.

The starters were really delicious: summer rolls & fried rolls. The rice bowl with springrolls was a little bit disappointed. Apart from the springrolls, the dish had no taste.

We got to the restaurant pretty late on with only half an hour before they shut, but the guy was welcoming and happy for us to order. I got a noodle dish (can’t remember which now, it was at the top of one of the pages on the menu!). I don’t usually like tofu but this was so so SO tasty, I ate the entire plate in record time. Friendly staff and alright price for how much you got!

Zaszłam do tej restauracji gdy były dwie duże grupy i tylko jeden obsługujący. Pot ciekł z kelnera, ale nie przerywał dbania o wszystkich klientów. Nikt chyba nie odszedł głodny. Co więcej jedzenie jest przepyszne. Po kilku dniach na jedzeniu konferencyjnym curry z ananasa wydawało się jak niebo w ustach.

The menu is extensive and food tasted good. Except I have asked for "extra hot" but the dish was not spicy at all. The service is weird. There is one person working there and she was never in sight. I have to chase her inside to ask for hot sauce. You also have to pay inside. The final straw was the men's room. The stench is revolting. It looks clean but smells like outdoor latrine.

Samadhi catered to our group of 45 adults and young people with so much attention to detail and care. The food was outstanding - absolutely delicious and full of so much flavour - and the restaurant is in a fantastic location. I cannot recommend it highly enough! A lovely restaurant run by lovely people.

We were served by a young girl, she was very friendly and patient despite we spent quite some time deciding what to order. The menu was extremely extensive, they definitely have the variety factor. Everything we ordered was delicious. Many things can be made vegan by just removing egg.
