Best local choice for vegans - Edit
The Ards peninsula is barren of any decent vegan food so this is by far the best option for eating out. About 3 choices of mains with starter and dessert options. Gluten free options also. Usually very busy so booking advised. Dog friendly 🐶

Excellent food, service and choice - Edit
I'm not sure I can recall the last time I had a three course meal but Saltwater Brig really delivered. A cosy pub, we were seated by the fire on a miserable autumn day and enjoyed the ambience and brilliant service. Choices for both starter and main, I went for the beetroot and sundried tomato salad to start, followed by the plant based sweet chilli bites for main. Generous portions of flavourful food, both were great. The star of the show though was the vegan dessert on their specials menu - an almond raspberry frangipane tart with homemade brittle. Delicious. I would heartily recommend this spot to anyone in the area

The best vegan risotto I’ve ever had - Edit
The staff is friendly, there’s a wide variety of options. I couldn’t believe the risotto. The waitress set us up at the fireplace as soon as it was available, at her own initiative.

Fantastic spot - Edit
Lovely country pub. Fantastic dog friendly beer garden. Full vegetarian menu recently added with multiple vegan options for starters, mains and sides. Menu in the pictures.
