Don't even think - just come and eat here!! - Edit
We had the cauliflower wings and the "vicken" Carribbean stew. The texture of the cauliflower wings was on point and the flavour of the stew made it one of my favourite meals in Costa Rica. It is pricey here, since it's right in the middle of town but the food and fantastic views more than make up for it.

Perfecto - Edit
First of all, the restaurant is right on the beach under shade trees. Then the service was great. The drinks were refreshing and the food was fresh and spicy (get the yellow salsa). We ordered buffalo Soldjah and the veg plate with brown sauce. Soooo goooood.

Beach lunch - Edit
Absolutely stellar staff, beautiful space and ocean views, tables on the sand, clearly marked vegetarian/vegan items, intriguing options. I had the Caribbean "Vicken" and it was all succulently and distinctly flavorful, and well balanced. Beer was ice cold.

So much yum! - Edit
I was headed to Jammin Vegan but didn’t realize it moved and b/c it’s rainy season it was pouring and I didn’t want to walk too far. I opened Happy Cow and saw Salsa Brava as an option but there weren’t any reviews. Checked out the menu, liked what they offered, and took the short trek.
Read moreThey have several options which I thought was great. There was a seafood soup that mentioned a vegan option but the waiter couldn’t tell me what was in it so I decided against it. I went with the cauliflower “wings” for an appetizer and the Caribbean “vicken” for my entree.
First up - cauliflower. These were overall a 3.5 out of 5. They were fried well but needed more seasoning. Served with two sauces (only one vegan) and just left a little to be desired but I still ate most of them 😂
Now the entree was the star of the show! These mushrooms were braised I with onions and peppers and was everything I didn’t know I wanted. Served with gallo pinto, salad, & patacones was absolute perfection. I almost licked my plate 😖
I’m so glad I was redirected to this spot. The food was good, the vibes were cool, and the beer was cold. I’m a fan 💗
