pretty, precious

Beautiful space, nice presentation, pretty tasty. Expensive and slow service. Allocate more than one hour for lunch. Lunch set is ¥2200 but it wasn't especially better than many lunch sets I've had in similar places for ¥1000-1200.

Pros: good location , nice presentation , tasty curry

Cons: prices relatively high , service slow, Cobb salad just ok

Hours incorrect or they closed early.

I normally don't write reviews that aren't based on food, but we just walked 45 minutes in blazing heat to get here, and they were closed. Both Google and HC say they are open until 5:00. So, check. We went to another place that wasn't as good as we had hoped, but had no option.

Klasse Restaurant! :)

Cons: Preise eher hoch

Two Thumbs Up!

One of the best all-vegan options in Kamakura. The venue has a great view of the beach/sea as wells as a very cool vibe. The staff are very pleasant and eager to please. We went for lunch on a Friday and our expectations were definitely exceeeded. We had two sets (curry with rice and lasagna) which came with a rich tomato soup, a selection of savory appetizers, and a drink (we chose the iced rooibis tea). You could actually sense the care that was put into the preparation of the meal and all for less than ¥5,000 for the two of us. We’ll definitely return.

Pros: Excellent food, Great staff/vibe, Good value

Good meal!

Japanese vegan food in front of the sea! The buffet goes by weight (silly me didn’t realise) but even getting every single thing available, it was 2000¥, including the free rice and soup refills!

great food , great view

Went towards the end of their buffet. The service was so kind. It was a wonderful sampling of vegan Japanese cuisine. From our table we had a view of the ocean and watched the windsurfers. Recommend for after your visits to the beautiful temples!

Pros: view, food

Yummy food by the sea

Went there for lunch. They have a selection of a few dishes, mostly pasta. Very nice.

May be a little bit pricey, but it was lovely to be able to look out at the sea while enjoying a meal.

very good food, great view and nice staff

The restaurant is really cute and has an amazing view on the sea. We arrived for lunch around 2 pm and there was only a few left overs from the buffet but the lovely staff lady offers us to make more if we wanted. The buffet was really good and we had amazing raw cheesecakes for desserts. They also had a kind of afternoon menu with french toasts and coffee or tea. A must try if you're around !

fantastico

Siamo stati qui a pranzo in una giornata di sole estivo. Il ristorante è molto bello e il cibo a buffet squisito. Non è stato un pranzo economico ma andava fatto!

Pros: cibo, location

Cons: prezzo

Great place

I love this place! On a sunny day, it is especially great because situated basically in front of the sea. You can see outside and the view is so nice. Quiet place and the food was lovely at a reasonable price.

Pros: Lovely food, Great location

We walked 15 minutes to get here

We walked 15 minutes to get here and received no welcome. We arrived at 450, the sign said open from 10 to 6pm so we thought we had plenty of time. We took off our shoes and walked in, there was 1 person there but she was on her phone and didn't acknowledge us. We stood there waiting for 20 minutes and she turned her back to us as if to ignore us. We ended up just leaving since there was nobody to order from. Pity because we were really looking forward to eating here.

Pros: all vegan

Way overrated...

I was very disappointed coming here. After deciding to walk from Kamakura station instead of taking the train to Hase we worked up quite an appetite before coming here. First was the wait, we had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated here on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily we arrived later, so we could pay for the afternoon cafe lunch prices instead of the lunchtime prices (which were still extraordinarily expensive). My partner and I had the mabo tofu sorghum pasta, which was very bland and tasteless. My friend however had a coconut curry which he raved about (but maybe he was just being polite). Though having to pay 1800en for each dish (not including a drink or desert) I would have expected more creativity from the pasta dish. The best thing about this place is the view, and the decor inside the little cafe is very well done too. It's a shame though the food here didn't live up to our expectations as we had eaten at the Sri-Sairam before which was very good. My partner and I both left disappointed with a dent in our wallets. Would not come back here and would probably try something else around the area next time. Basically you're paying for the view here. I didn't try any of the deserts though since I felt I had paid enough here.

On a side note there was a little independent tofu shop just around the corner with some good tofu :-)

Pros: Ocean view, Nice decor

Cons: Too expensive, Bland food, Small so may have to wait for a table

Wonderful place to chill and refill

We've known about this place since when it was opened since it's not far from where we live, but we had been avoiding it because from what we could tell (we even called them once), they didn't appear to use organic ingredients and we try to stick to organic, particularly in Japan.

Yesterday our curiosity got the better of us and we gave it a go. So glad we did! Firstly, they do appear to use quite a lot of organic ingredients as was apparent both from the menu and from the waitress's assurances - so one big barrier removed right away.

The character of the place is also enough to charm the sock off anyone.. literally, as you'll be taking your shoes off if you want to lounge on their beachside deck. The building looks to be a renovated house and is finished with natural ingredients and bundles of good taste. Part of it is air-conditioned, the other part is outside and faces the beach (and an admittedly heavily trafficked road).

The waitress who served us was as full of charm as the ambiance - smiling, knowledgeable and polite. The menu is not large but entails some lunch sets, about 5 cake options (all vegan - yay!) and just enough interesting drinks to keep us entertained for at least a while. We tried the banana variant of their house brewed amazake (fermented rice drink) which was truly divine, and some grain coffee, which was prepared in the style of a well brewed real coffee and hit the spot just great.

We didn't try the lunch offerings as we weren't so hungry but will be back to check those out for sure as they looked wonderfully varied and satisfyingly voluminous.

One thing I will say - it's not so cheap, so if you're on a budget you may want to keep an eye on the prices. But it's Japan, it's (hopefully) mostly organic and it's got a view right onto the ocean, so I guess that's to be expected.

Pros: use mostly organic ingredients, gorgeous ambience, well designed menu

Cons: why not publicly use the word 'organic'?, a bit pricey, menu isn't extensive
