WORTH TRAVELLING FOR!! Delicious lunch with a bit of surprise theatre! - Edit
The food at Saido is incredibly delicious and well prepared. Amazing presentation too which makes the meal that little bit more special!
Read moreWe got the lunch-set which had so many options to choose from. I got the Katsu-ju and my GF partner was able to get the Yaki-soba because they have gluten-free noodles too (a little extra charge, but worth it!).
Highly recommend!!

Woa, totally recommend the unagi and the other rice dishes. The yakitori is mental. On the pricey side, but oh so worth it. Maybe worth calling ahead, it's a small shop.

Best vegan restaurant ever - Edit
I've never been to a place where I've wanted to try all the options on the menu. This is like a Michilen style restaurant with down to earth prices. The best vegan restaurant you will probably be to in Japan if not the world. Everything is pure class. It will go down in my books as the best vegan restaurant I've ever been to in my life. If your vegan and in Tokyo don't miss this opportunity for some vegan fine dining 💚🌱💚

Fantastic meal! - Edit
What a gem of a place! Tucked away in a quiet alleyway, this cozy place serves up amazing vegan Japanese dishes. Everything we had was delicious - french fries to start, the unagi and katsu for mains, and the blueberry cheesecake for dessert. The complimentary appetizer was refreshing. The staff are incredibly friendly and speak great English. If you're in Tokyo, this place is a must! Do not miss out! So glad we made the trek here.

Best Vegan Meal In My Life 😍 - Edit
The restaurant is located in a very relaxing & quiet area in Jiyugaoka (自由が丘), surrounded by plants 🌱
Read moreI ordered 3 plates; the vegan cheese salad with genovese sauce, vegan yakitori (grilled chicken), and the FAMOUS vegan eel over rice. All were delicious! As a recently turned vegetarian, I never thought that I would able to eat eel (one of my favorite foods) again. It exceeded my expectations; the flavor & texture were exceptional. I highly recommendation trying this dish.
The service was excellent & the staff super friendly😄I recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits Tokyo!

Lots of vegan options! - Edit
Tasty food, with lots of options! This place is all vegan, has an English menu, and also have staff that can speak English. This is the largest vegan menu I've seen so far during my visit to Tokyo, and had a hard time deciding to be honest... I ended up getting a salad and the katsu, which were both good! They really pay attention to detail (and flavor)! It makes sense they are a bit on the pricer side. The restaurant itself is well decorated and has WiFi as well, but is a bit tucked away down a side street, don't be intimidated and stop by for some delicious food!

If you’d like to try some Japanese styled vegan dishes I would recommend this place. I came with non-vegan friends and they liked the taste. We ordered set menu and I guess the cost was fair (2000¥).

Just go! It's worth the trip out! - Edit
Two of us popped for the new set lunch menu. The food is amazing and it's easy to see why the rating is so universally high. I had the 20 spice samurai curry with a vegan egg (you need to get this, it's crazy how authentic it smells and tastes). We also got the katsu-ju, which was so flavourful! The desserts tastes as good as they look!

Saido has a cozy and classy ambiance, with a wide selection of whiskey. We went for lunch and had the tastiest ramen and rice dish with katsu. The ramen noodles were customizable and even had a vegan egg which tasted just like an egg! A must-try restaurant if you are in Tokyo, even if you are not vegan.

Great vegan restuarant - Edit
I went there for a lunch(11.30-15.00). The lunch set is only 1,200yen (1 of any main dish with a small cup of soup and salad)I ordered Vegan curry,Una-Juu, vegan blueberry cheesecake and strawberry sorbet. It was so delicious and flavorful. Desserts are quite refreshing and not too sweet. I like it.

Really cool place - Edit
The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere of the place was awesome: there were small bonzai-like plants inside the chopstick-holders and tasteful plants scattered all around. The Yakitori as appetizer was absolutely stunning and deserves five stars in itself😉I honestly could not believe that it wasn't meat I was eating.
