Some vegan options

I called Roxy’s to see if the had any seasonal vegan options, and they had a couple regular flavors (chocolate, vanilla) plus a valentines spice option!
I asked which options were nut free and the woman said they all were except the chocolate which has pistachios.
The cashier at the store was completely unaware of nut ingredients in the ice creams and was telling me if the woman said it on the phone i’m probably fine. I felt uncomfortable with her reaction and asked to see the allergen book they had. Sure enough the valentines option has almond milk.
I want to support Roxy’s so badly but I felt like that was a terrible job on their part by telling me it was nut free the first time and not caring enough the second time to verify.
They did have a cherry chip option that was free of nuts (has coconut) so that’s what I had! It was full of maraschino cherries and little chocolate chip pieces. The cashier was not washing the scoop she had just used for the almond ice cream my friend had, I had to request a new one.

Pros: Multiple vegan options

Cons: Not allergen friendly
