Giant portion, fresh food - Edit
The portion is giant, especially the bowl ones. I ordered the Japanese nori bowl but due to some issues, there were no rice. The staff were really nice asking if I wanted to change to other options, but I didn't and they were happy to sub some fried sweet potato and tofu for me. The burger was nice as well. And the food is all fresh and vegan. Might come back for other options since the menu looks really good.

Favourite restaurant in Vietnam - Edit
We didn’t spend to long in Vietnam due to Coronavirus but in our time we spent a lot of our time in roots. Why? Because everything about the place gets 5 stars.. staff, comfort, atmosphere and most importantly the food!! The food is to die for and when it comes to vegan cuisine roots are on point.. you will not be disappointed at all.. burgers amazing, smoothie bowls absolutely refreshing and delicious. Buddha bowls, fresh, healthy and delicious. All made and cooked fresh and all done and served In a reasonable time. They also sell vegan products so don’t forget to checkout what they have.

Read moreIt’s a self service kinda restaurant. You order and pay at the counter first and get your food after. You can pay with credit card also.
The place is really nice from the inside, great to stay there for a couple of hours if the weather is bad.
I ordered a burger and a smoothie- both was super delicious!! The avocado on the side wasn’t ripe tho but the staff was really nice and gave me matched avocado instead which was a lot better. The portions are really big so you definitely get full. I had tiramisu for desert which also was really tasty.
Its a really nice vegan (western) restaurant, especially for Vietnam/Asia. Also if you’re tired of rice and noodles this place is a good option to go to.

I went here more than once during my brief time in Hanoi. I tried two of the toasts, two kinds of spring rolls, and a dessert. It was all good. I miss their bread!

Really enjoyed the dining space— very clean/inviting. Extensive menu with lots of creative options— had exactly what I was craving . I decided on the tofu scramble sandwich— very satisfying but a little messy to eat 😊 I plan to come back here again while in Hanoi!

After eating daily in their Da Nang location for ~7 days, we booked our Hanoi hotel according to their location here. By comparison, a bit of a dissapointment. Downsides of this location comparing to Da Nang - nowhere to hide from the kitchen's fry fumes and smells, higher prices, no good priced breakfast combos, slower service. For some reason, they don't bring the food all at once. So you eat the burger, wait a bit, eat the toast, wait a bit etc. Poshier, but otherwise Da Nang was far better.

I ordered the rainbow tempeh bowl which comes with brown rice, avo, beet, cuc, shredded red cabbage and a turmeric peanut sauce. The portion was huge and everything was delicious! The bowl was 120k which seemed good value given the size.

Had the pesto sandwich, mush's burger and summer rolls between two, expecting typically stingy healthy cafe servings. The serves were massive and we over ate because it was so tasty! Quite expensive, but reasonable ish if you just order one thing per person.
