They were originally on Louisenstr., but moved and have reopened at this location since at least before Christmas. The burgers were really good, as were the sweet potato fries!

Kleines gemütliches Restaurant. Hatte den BBQ-Burger mit extra Käse und den Süsskartoffel-Pommes. Beides war sehr lecker. Der Burger war ein Meisterwerk - vom rutschfesten Aufbau bis zum Geschmack hat hier alles gepasst.

Was kinda lost wandering around Dresden and found this place! The barbecue burger was great! They didn’t exactly have a english menu but the person working the counter very kindly translated for me! Super friendly, fast, & well priced!

Tasty burger, amazing cheesecake - Edit
Dresden is most famous for its tremendously beautiful old city with parts that are about 1000 years old. But if you visit the part called Neustadt you can find more modern vibes, such as the cosy restaurant Roots. The owners, who took over the place in December 2017, are really friendly. We already heard rumours about their burgers, so it was obvious that we had to order a cheeseburger. Apart from this, they serve a spicy wrap, which we also tried, and bagels.

Roots value fresh and local ingredients, which usually is a sign of severe taste. Right behind the counter they have an open kitchen and the staff prepare your order on spot, so you can geese when the burger patty is fried, drool when the cheese is melting and see the final touch of the burger being carefully prepared. Moreover, we could not hesitate to try their homemade cakes. The German cheesecake (so-called “Käsekuchen”) was screaming our names, so we did not really have any choice. ⠀

As the sun was shining and Roots, unfortunately, did not have any outdoor seating, we brought our treasures to a park nearby to indulge. The burger was great, so was the wrap, but best was the cheesecake. Creamy filling, crispy bottom and with a slight touch of juicy lemon. Oh yes, you notice that they not only value their fresh ingredients but also how they make it. Regarding the cheesecake: We should have bought two.

Kleines aber feines Burger Restaurant - Edit
Ein relativ kleines Restaurant mit dem Hauptfokus auf Burger welcher mit veganen Käse belegt werden kann. Vor kurzem waren die Burgerbrötchen noch normale Weizen mit Sesam, jetzt sind es dunkle mit Leinsamen, Sonnenblumenkernen und Haferflocken. Außerdem gibt es Kekse, Kuchen, Eis und Muffins welche auch vegan sind. Die Burger sind sehr lecker und das Personal ist ebenfalls sehr nett.

We came to a day trip to Dresden and then accidentally found this place offering vegan burgers. The food was delicious and the service was very patient and explained everything despite the fact we didn’t speak German. I’d highly recommend this place.

Minimal, Delicious Burgers - Edit
We stumbled on Roots in the middle of town (great location!) and we weren't disappointed at all. The burgers were delicious (even our meat-eating friend agreed they were amungst the nicest she'd ever tried), the fries were great too. I had a cookie for dessert and although it wasn't as good as the burger was, it was still tasty.

Most of the menu was vegan or had a vegan option which was great. Food was quite good, nice burgers and really tasty desserts. But the whole experience was spoiled by very poor service. The staff didn't give a damn about us, we even didn't get any cutlery for our first meal (we ordered a burger and it comes with side salad) and the food and drinks were handed to us haphazardly over the counter down to where we were sitting. I really liked the place at first but wouldn't come again.

Delicious Vegan Burgers and Wraps - Edit
99% of the menu is vegan. The restaurant offers very delicious burgers which can be combined with potatoes, grilled veggies or salad. We were two times at the Roots and every time we were pleased with the food. They have vegan sweets like cookies, cakes, etc.

I had the burger menu, which means you can choose a burger, a drink and a salad or nachos. I chose the vegetable burger (= classic burger with extra roasted veggies)and a salad (allthough the idea of nachos was very tempting).

The wraps looked good as well.

Great selection of veggie burgers with homemade patties. The only non-vegan things on the menu are those with feta and all vegan items are clearly marked. They serve beer and a variety of sodas. The dessert was a delicious chocolate biscuit and a carrot pound cake. It's a very cosy restaurant with nice service and cute decor. My omni family said the burgers were "killer." They do have some menus in English.

Location is small and Cosy, nice furniture. I had a vegan Cheeseburger with extra grilled vegetables. It was soo delicious! Staff told me that the pattys in the Burger are homemade. Costs around 6€

The Cake was glutenfree.
Unfortunally the staff was not that obliging that day. Therefore only 4 stars.
Pros: homemade pattys, cakes, cookies, they are delivered regional , cosy location with many shops nearby
Cons: staff was a little stiff with exceptions, forgot our drink
