Down a laneway you’re met with a smile with a mixture of hot dishes, salads and Asian snacks.
Read moreThe food is delicious and hearty, with frozen meals for you to take home if you wish. It includes your tofu dishes, as well as faux-meats such as pork and chicken. Baguettes and sushi Fridays too.
Thankful this place is here in Far North Queensland for those who are mindful of what they eat.

I always prefer to support fully vegan establishments. Roots vegetarian is fully vegan and the food I ordered was delicious! I had a ‘chicken’ sushi roll, and it was amazing. I also had rice with salt and pepper tofu and a tofu curry. It was full of flavour and really tasty. The prices are on the higher end, but the taste justifies the expense. The staff member who served me was also really nice.

I talked to someone who had just got back from Palm Cove and it has made me reminisce about the good old days in FNQ and how good Root Vegetarian was. Root's food was such a great treat when we went to Rusty Market on weekends for a grocery run.
