sem pizza de queijo - Edit
As far as pizzas go in the algarve, this was as good as any. I didn't find any pizza places offering vegan cheese, this one included but they did serve loads of veggies on top with a nice garlic oil

Poppa Piccolino - Edit
Whilst it's not not necesarily the most inspiring or imaginative of places in terms of creative vegan cuisine you can easily get a cheese free crust heavy pizza with toppings of your choice or a pasta dish. All freshly made in the open kitchen. I prefer the pasta options here, a very solid spaghetti pomodoro is always a winner or the paccheri melanzane without the buffalo mozzarella it usually comes with. I'm not too keen on the tightly packed outside seating area which is bordered by the main pedestrian sea front promenade. Believe me, this whole area gets extremely busy at night in the summer months. Inside, a good effort has been made to create a modern atmosphere with a pleasant red theme. OK, the food is decent and you will walk away satisfied but not inspired. Thumbs up for being vegan friendly though and making it onto Happy Cow.

great pizza, but not ready for vegans - Edit
When we arrived at the pizzeria piccolino we asked the waitress about vegan options, she didn't know anything about it and told us that probably the restaurant next door was better for vegans. In the end got a mixed salad and a pizza vegetariana without cheese. All the food was very good, but there were almost no vegan options.

She was right. Coentros (the restaurant next door) is a better fit for vegans. They know what it means and the vegan options are clearly indicated on the menu (as well as the vegetarian ones).
