No vegan options and will give you cheese

We went here having read the other reviews. We were very disappointed to find that all the fresh pasta had egg in, except one, so pasta wasn't a readily available option. They eventually found one pasta we could have. We asked for it with tomato sauce and vegetables. The sauce was like they had chucked a whole garlic bulb in and was inedible. My partner ordered the same dish but with gnocchi. The gnocchi came covered in cheese and no vegetables. I'm convinced the sauce wasn't vegan as it was creamy so they got that completely wrong. They replaced the dish with no cheese on it but the sauce was the same. The reviews say they understand vegan need but unfortunately that's not the case. We communicated it via Google translate but sadly the order was still wrong.

Pros: Staff nice

Cons: No vegan options, Do not understand what vegan means

Unexpectadly nice

This restaurant looks kinda unassuming, but it actually has a nice variety of vegetarian pizzas, not sure if they offer the same amount of vegan dishes, but you can probably make any pizza vegan by removing the cheese. We had pizza with spinach & ricotta and it was truly delicious!

Pros: Tasty pizza and you get a lot for a good prize, Lots of vegetarian options

Cons: Kinda hard to find

Great place and very good service

Menu is almost all vegetarian and can be made vegan, but I would always make sure you ask the staff about that. At the time that I visited not only were they very helpful with dietary restrictions they were also very nice as to give their personal input on what parts of the menu would work best made vegan, which at the time was a very kind gesture as I was a bit lost on what to ask for exactly.

Overall the price was very competitive for the area and I'd classify it as a great experience.

Pros: Good food, Kind and helpful staff

Lovely restaurant

Hidden little gem for the pizza lover, the menu was fantastic, pretty much all of the vegetarian pizzas can be made vegan but removing the cheese. My wife being a vegan had the Mediterranean pizza without cheese and said it tasty but it was more like salad on a pizza.

I had the calzone without ham and it was giant and came out perfectly cooked was a joy to eat.

A few issues were lost in translation but was quickly cleared up.
It also was a little hard to find as they have signs up saying I love pizza instead of l-Oasis but that was of me not reading big sign outside lol.

Pros: Very expansive menu, Very cost effective for the portion size , Delicious food

Cons: Hard to find as off the beaten path, A few translation issues but dont be put off

Excellent food, amazing service!

I really cannot fault the food, atmosphere or excellent service here. The staff were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble, they were amazing with our children and very understanding of our dietary requirements. We thoroughly enjoyed pizzas and pasta by omitting the cheese but as advised by previous reviews we explained when ordering we don’t eat any dairy and didn’t require any cheese on the pasta etc, this was not a problem at all and the food was delicious and exactly as we requested. Please be advised though, if taking children along that there is no separate children’s menu and only three options to have in a child’s size but we didn’t find that a problem. I highly recommend this restaurant for the tasty food and ambiance but mostly for the staff who made us so welcome and made our meal (with a very tired baby!) a very happy and enjoyable one!

Pros: Very helpful, understanding staff, Lovely atmosphere , Lots of vegan possibilities

Cons: No set vegan menu or options, No real dessert option

Great pizza and salads

Lots of veggie options, and pizza was great—flavorful, good ratio of sauce and cheese and bread. Chocolate cake was overkill but the salads were also great.

Pros: Good food, Not too pricey, Great staff

Cons: Menu English translation a little funky

Authentic Italian

I order the cheeseless veggie pizza. It came with light tomato sauce, spinach, artichoke , and peppers (I substituted for black olives but didn't realize it was canned). The crust was super thin so it is a pretty light dish for being Italian. I have to say that I've had better pizza but I am used to American style pizza. I felt the pasta had more flavor. I ordered the Penne Al'rrabiata. The portion for the price is small. the owner is vegan but for health reasons. Very nice guy.

Pros: 3 different vegan choices. pizza, pasta, risotto

Cons: price, canned black olives

Authentic and delicious

I love this restaurant. It's very popular and understandably so. It stands out from other restaurants in the town where outside seating is favoured and the style and atmosphere inside can lack the feeling of being in a top quality establishment. This restaurant really feels authentic and atmospheric, it is bustling and you can enjoy your meal surrounded by the chatter of satisfied diners. The food is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. There is a really good veggie choice and some dishes can be adapted to vegan, just make sure you inform staff. We made the mistake of not specifying our diet requirement when ordering a simple pasta pomodoro dish which wasn't labelled with cheese on the menu. When our meal arrived we found out that all pasta dishes are served with shavings of Parmesan as standard. We asked for a replacement and offered to pay the extra but staff were very accommodating and quickly prepared a fresh meal with no extra charge and no complaints. This is a must when in Armacao.

Pros: delicious food, authentic and atmospheric , friendly and helpful staff

Cons: serves fish and meat

Fairly Brand New and Heavy

Opened in 2011 and undoubtedly the best and most veg friendly restaurant in the special town of Armacao de Pera. Run by a genuine Italian restauranteur this place is a scintillating example of true Italian cuisine in The Algarve. Absolutely ram packed in the high season months and very busy the rest of the year it is a true pleasure to dine here and feel welcomed. Most pasta or pizza dishes can be made as vegan if requested and without embarrassment. In fact, approx 50% of the pizza or pasta menu is meat free anyway. They don't do vegan cheese and to be honest won't do in the future but all pizzas can be made cheese free if asked. Pasta is a better option for the vegan diner. They do an amazing spag pomodoro or penne all'arriabbiata. I can vouch for this. An equally good option would be a vegetable risotto, of which they have at least 2 vegan varieties. Just make sure you ask for them to be made without parmesan. Prices for main courses are €8 to €11 which is a little pricey for The Algarve but I have no hesitation in paying it. A bottle of house white is €10.50, it's always a good accompaniment to the dining experience. I would say it's essential. L'Oasis is open at lunchtimes from 12-3 and then from 18:00 for the evening session. I always looks forward to coming here every year. Ah yes, before I forget. Ask for the house chilli oil. You will not regret it. Or maybe you will if you are a chilli lightweight.

Pros: Excellent food, Very friendly, Traditional Italian

Cons: Meat
