Explicitly says: NO VEGAN!! Avoid avoid avoid

Was hoping to have vegan takeaway here one of the coming days. Options are very scarce in this area, and this place seemed promising.

Went in to inquire about vegan options, and immefiately got a loud and clear, and rather unfriendly 'NO VEGAN' as a reply.
Vegetarian yes, but no vegan.

I asked: so you dont have eg rice with avocado rolls?
The owner (?) then went on explaining that none of sushis etc are EVER vegan, because they touch the fish with their hands and then the rice, so it's not vegan. I replied, if you look at it that way, then you dont offer vegetarian neither? Yes we do, because vegetarians dont mind about fish ....
He then was seemingly annoyed that I pointed out that fish is not a vegetable neither.
Then went on to ramble that the seaweed papers sometimes contain shrimp, and that he didn't want to be on Happy Cow (I mentionned that he was).

So absolutely a no go. Pity, because I do think the menu offers possibilities.

Wow, how rude and ignorant of them. Sorry that you had to experience this.

Average

It feel like Denmark has a tofu tax. We ordered sushi with tofu and it barely had a gram in all 6 pieces (all together). The price also isn't justified. The sushi were good, but nothing special. We also had edamame, they were really good. As a main dish we had red Thai curry with vegetables and it was too spicy for me

Pretty expensive, but a nice treat

As the only place in Ringkøbing its a nice treat when you want to eat out locally as a vegan, though considering what it is, being mainly simple veggies with rice and seaweed, it should be less expensive than the non vegan options all things considered.

Would still definitely recommend as they do have some nice vegan items on the menu, especially the inari tofu.
