Sweet lady with Panamanian food - Edit
Please go see this sweet lady! She’s a little hard to find on the second floor of the market close to the bus stop. I had the rice and beans with vegan Ropa Vieja. It had a great flavor and was so cheap! I also really enjoyed her cookies.

Really hoped the food here would be excellent, as the only vego/vegan spot in town. But unfortunately it wasn’t very good. My partner and I were both hoping to get a burger but they had just sold out, so we both ordered a burrito instead. It was bang average, just some beans and basic salad inside a tortilla. It wasn’t very tasty or filling. The strawberry juice was nice though.

Happy to return as the food was good and we like to spend at least in Vegetarian preferably Vegan establishments.

Ramp so accessible. A couple of tables on a veranda so on this occasion a bit windy. Nice fresh chips (English chips not crisps) made with real potatoes and a good burrito with tvp chunks. English was limited but we managed. Written menu board with Vegan mentioned.

Very kind people, however we stated we were vegan and asked for rice, veggies and patacones. The meal came with with egg all in the rice. They did not understand what vegan meant.

Only vegan restaurant in Boquete - Edit
My husband and I were so happy to find this place. The electricity was out in town, and all that we could order were the vegan burritos. They were super good and tasty. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and nice. We will certainly be back to try other dishes from the menu!

We ate here 3 times and had 3 good meals. We only got the lunch deal one of those days as one day we were too early and the other too late! It seems to sell out quickly. It was beans, rice, chopped sausage in a lovely sauce and salad. We also had some excellent tamales that I think were a special as they were not on the menu, tostada, burrito, hot dog, pizza type thing on baguette and soup and all were good but especially the tostada and tamales. The place is open btw (it says temporarily closed on here currently) but I asked and it appears she doesn't usually work regular hours and opens when she wants to but it was open every lunchtime that we tried (not sure about Sundays though).
Read moreDifferences in portion sizes to be noted. Generally the things that cost $6 are a full meal and those that cost $3:50 you might want to get 2 because they're smaller. Still great value for money though.

Fresh, delicious vegan eating in the heart of Boquete. Made to order, and worth the wait time. Just the one lady working the small restaurant. Tasty, fresh fruit salad with dragon fruit, papaya, banana, pineapple, apple slices. Burger with all the fixings, house made burger patty. Fresh cut fries. Freshly blended lemon/limeade. Bag of house made plantain chips for later.

Covered balcony seating, upstairs overlooking market place, nearby park. Gradual ramp up to 2nd floor location, so no need to climb stairs. Easy walking distance to our small hotel, and most other downtown points of interest.

Note despite the name not everything is 100% vegan, but it seemed obvious which items contained dairy by reading the menu. If in doubt, just ask.

MUST TRY! So lovely - Edit
Although the food is relatively simple, it is super tasty. We liked the burger so much that we both ordered another meal straight away. The price is incredibly cheap, we've never eaten so cheaply in Panama. But above all, the owners are really lovely. Although they were supposed to be closed, they kept the restaurant open late just for us. The younger woman also speaks very good English. All in all, a wonderful experience.

This is such a good place! Has a variety of burgers, soups, rice dishes and more. Everything homemade and the lady is really lovely. Said her restaurant is fully vegan (December 2023) and it’s a must do for every vegan going to Boquete. Attention: closes early! we went for lunch.

The staff is lovely and it is great to have a vegan place in Boquete (although it is actually vegetarian). The food is veeeeery simple, nothing special, but it is great to have this place in Boquete. Also very cheap!

Small vegan restaurant - Edit
We went to the restaurant today and got the vegan lunch twice (4.75$ each). It included soy chunks, salad (tomato and avocado), rice and a little lentil soup. Water was also included. The dish was really tasty and filling. We will probably eat every lunch there as long as we stay in Boquete. The woman serving us the food was also really friendly and it seems like it is some kind of family restaurant. We definitely recommend checking it out!

Rare to find good vegan food in a local market but this is a gem! We had the burger and the vegan lunch with strawberry milkshakes and a lemonade. All were delicious. My friend came who was gluten free and the owner was very attentive to her needs too, replacing the burger buns with potato slices for her.

The lady that owns the shop is very nice, she serves vegan lunch and vegan burgers and hot dogs, and some other vegan food. Unfortunately we were too late for lunch, but we tried the Vegan burger with fries. The bun was very good and the patty was tasty as well. This burger has got more veggies in it than most other burgers. It's a nice variety especially for lunch

I ordered a burger and while it's a simple food to prepare, the quality of the bread and fresh fillings made it taste really good. There are a handful of items on the menu and you can tell they're prepared with care. The lady working there is very friendly too and the prices are half of what I paid in Panama City. Support this small business!
