Powderhorn Park Gem - Edit
The space is so beautiful and it’s a great location. I’ve been in many times and will continue to return. Happy to support an all vegan restaurant. I haven’t quite found my menu item yet, but for sharing I really like the jackfruit nachos and the Mac & cheese. The artichoke dip was ok. Although I’m a big fan of Brussel sprouts, I did not care for the preparation here and wouldn’t order them again. Far too much smoke flavoring. I wish they’d tone down that ingredient on other items too. On another occasion I had the cauliflower Po-boy which might have been better fried (trying to steer away from fried foods, which is not easy to do here.) I ordered it roasted and didn’t think it worked as a sandwich. I did have a taste of the veg burger and it was quite good! The beignets and the rosemary potatoes were excellent. Interesting menu and I imagine they are still working with it.

The breakfast biscuits (weekend brunch) are out of this world! I’m hooked.

Always on point - Edit
The food at Reverie is always on point. We love every dish, the Rev burger is my favorite burger in Mpls, Mac and cheese, fries, Brussels, all awesome. In addition to great food, they are active in supporting their local community.

The best. Period. - Edit
Vegan or not, Reverie has the most delicious food I've eaten, hands down. I'm so glad the community has stepped up and backed their latest brick-and-mortar endeavor.
Read moreWhile most vegan restaurants heavily rely on fake meats and other highly-processed vegan foods, Reverie uses more whole foods and minimally-processed foods. Their tacos (both cauliflower and lemongrass tofu) are to die for.

Best in Twin Cities! - Edit
Reverie has some of the best food you will have, plant based or not. Super good menu variety and nothing will disappoint! My favorites are the nachos, KBLT, mac and cheese, and tacos! Try them all! End it with beignets!

Love Reverie - Edit
We fell in love with the food truck food, so we were excited when this place opened. We weren’t too happy with our food choices though. I got the lemongrass tofu tacos which I used to love, but they were too spicy for me. Did they change the sauce? The nachos are always good and so are the potatos with aioli. The place was super busy when we were there. They gave us a $10 gift card because it took so long for our food to come out.
Read moreI’m not a fan of the location. It’s hard to get to and parking is a pain especially in winter.
I want to go back and try the Mac and cheese because I can’t remember if I ever tried it when they had the food truck.
The beans and rice are also good, but very spicy. Too spicy for me.
My Dad wasn’t a fan of his bbq jackfruit sandwich.
My Mom thought the cauliflower tacos were ok.
Pros: All vegan , Cute place, Friendly staff
Cons: Bad location, Order what’s good, Maybe find a day/time it’s not too busy

So Good - Edit
A super cute restaurant with a coffee bar, and a good beer selection! My friend and I shared the Nachos (which were bomb), and then I had the fried cauliflower po’boy which was also really good! Would def recommend.

The best vegan food in Minneapolis, hands down - Edit
Reverie is a gem...the food is absolutely incredible and the menu is thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor. I've eaten my way through it all (and immensely enjoyed it!!) and could not claim a favorite dish at gunpoint. If you can only visit once - get the tempeh BLT (the tempeh flavor will render you speechless) with potato wedges and aioli as the side, the beans and rice for a starter, and the beignets for dessert or to go for later (reheat in the oven for. Minute or two!!). Every non-vegan I've brought here has been dazzled. The food truck is also not to be missed.

Super tasty nachos, potato wedges with vegan aioli, gluten-free fried cauliflower tacos, and more. Don’t come here looking for whole food options, but the comfort food will go a long way!

So delicious - Edit
I love this cafe. I had the Brussels sprouts and the cauliflower tacos and they were both delicious. I look forward to going back and trying other menu items. It became crowded while I was there and the smaller tables and larger family style tables filled quickly.

Vegan Cafe - Love ❤️ - Edit
Amazing food and cute new location in Powderhorn (near Longfellow) Minneapolis! I’ve been a fan of the Reverie (Rev) food truck and I have been excitedly anticipating this new location.
Read moreIt was pretty busy so we grabbed a place at the bar. If you do sit at a table, you first order at the front and take a number back to your table.
We had the vegan supreme nachos for an appetizer which features the smoked jackfruit. So tasty! Next we had two of the handheld entrees: Berbere BBQ Sammie with house made seitan and the Cauliflower Po Boy, my favorite. I got it fried but roasted is is also an option. Nice selection of vegan beer! Both sandwiches were tasty. I would absolutely order the Po Boy again, but I am looking forward to trying more of the menu. Especially the chocolate filled beignets.
Pros: All plant based, friendly atmosphere, fresh takes on classics like mac & cheese
Cons: We easily found on street parking-but no lot

New location isn’t the old location - Edit
I feel bad for this restaurant that all of the reviews are 2 years old and describe a location/menu that hasn’t existed for about that long.
Read moreTried the Brussels sprouts (tasty but not crispy enough,) pineapple kombucha (very good,) a London Fog with housemade cashew-macadamia milk (pretty good,) lemongrass tofu tacos (really good but you have to eat with a knife and fork,) and nachos (great.) Service had a few small kinks but all understandable given the new location just opened.
Pros: Moderate prices for food items, Good variety on menu, Many non-alcoholic drink options
Cons: Specialty drinks are expensive , Desserts are very expensive for the portion size

nope. no thanks. - Edit
It's a cute, grungy cafe and I'm sure I would've loved it when I was a teen. The food is a weird mixture of fresh and overly processed vegan fare and I really, really did not like the po boy I purchased. The vegan cheeze spread on the bread wasn't good and the bread itself wasn't good. I didn't like the cauliflower, either. It had no seasoning, it had just been cooked and that's it. I would not go back here again.

Came in for a a quick fix take out before working in the city. The jackfruit is what called me to this place. I had the jackfruit tacos which tasted very authentic and Cesar salad, both were well portioned and delicious. The place has that vegan restaurant smell so instantly I felt at home and wished I could stay in rather than take out. Looking forward to returning, the breakfast menu looked especially tasty!

Cool Place - Edit
Reverie is cool. It has good service, a very nice and comfortable ambiance, hip decor. The menu is small. The food is average. Needs some seasoning and work. "Spicy" items are not spicy, certain dishes lack acid, etc. I'd go here on a date but wouldn't come for the food.

Cool place cool food - Edit
I went to eat here tonight with my boyfriend because we wanted to try out the vegan restaurants in our area. I ordered the TLT with chips and salsa, my boyfriend had the Cubano with a side of tomato basil soup. Everything we ordered was very good! I think next time I would definitely get the Cubano because it was amazing, so if you're struggling to decide I would recommend ordering that. Also, it is much more of a casual place than I had anticipated. It's very much like a coffee shop that also serves food- just for a heads up.

evolving promising cafe - Edit
My hubby wanted to try this place due to the craft beer selection, and I'm interested in good vegetarian options. We shared the jackfruit tacos, which were good. But not much of a dining destination... But I have heard that the menu is evolving and getting better. Hopefully that will also include more of an upgrade to the seating. It's more a coffeeshop than a restaurant/bar in my mind. I know they have live music but this wasn't happening when we were there - early evening.

Love having options! - Edit
it's great to go to a 'hang out' type place and not have to be concerned about anything on the menu. Limited options for GF, however there ARE options! very friendly and helpful staff. Looks like they do music, I've only been there for lunch. I haven't tried it, but they do have breakfast now.

One of my favorite spots - Edit
I've been to Reverie several times and always have trouble deciding between the Cubano, the TLT, and the jackfruit tacos. Their Caesar salad is a new fave, especially because of the delicious tempeh. The staff is friendly, and I love that all the food is vegan. And now they're offering baked goods regularly, and are working towards offering breakfast soon!

AWESOME!!! - Edit
It was my first few hours in Minneapolis after a long/sleepless night/flight from AK, so I must have been a bit dazed (I certainly felt out of it, being up that many hours)...but the staff were totally amazing and helpful.
Read moreOn tap beer selection is excellent (I got the Schwandtoberfest - well-balanced body and bite). Ordered my first ever Cubano sandwich - vegan or otherwise. The seasoning and toppings were out of this world - marinated red onions that I'd happily eat a plateful of, on their own (but I've been told I'm odd), a cashew-based cheese sauce that was sharp and smooth, not at all gritty...so good. And jackfruit "pulled pork" for the filling - seasoning was spot on - tangy, spicy, savory, and complex.
Food was more than reasonably priced. Atmosphere is comfortable, casual, and pretty user-friendly, as those things go. Great place - you should totally visit!
Pros: Just about everything
Cons: Nothing, really

Good today, maybe great tomorrow - Edit
Reverie is a cool cafe-bar that's evolving toward restauranthood. Half the current menu space is consumed by alcohol, with just a few food options at present . Fortunately, all the food is vegan (though some of the beverages are not).
Read moreLooking at the menu, the only dish that appealed to me was the jackfruit carnitas tacos. Thankfully, they did not disappoint. I also grabbed a chocolate chip cookie from the case, and it was quite good.
I'm told the owner plans to roll out a breakfast menu, and eventually more. Surely a more extensive food menu would increase the already promising appeal of the place.
My two suggestions:
1. Rotating daily/weekly specials to test out new dishes.
2. Fresh-squeezed juices would be a huge plus.
Enjoy!

Great space and Food for the Future - Edit
I am visiting from out of town. Walked into Reverie by chance. Very relaxing venue during the day . This is my first time in a restaurant that offers all plant-based foods. I had the tacos(jackfruit) and my friends had cubanos(mock duck, jackfruit) and soup. All unique and delicious!!! Commend chef for putting food choices out there that address environmental and animal industry problems by offering delicious and healthy alternatives!!!!!

I've had a bite of all four of their Feb dishes and they have been fantastic. A great space on the corner of nicollet and franklin. They recently converted to a 100% plant-based menu. There is a small parking lot on the north side of the building. I can't wait until they open up the full menu. Staff is also really friendly and free wifi is fast. grab some food and enjoy some music.
