I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and I’m so glad I gave it a shot! The menu had an incredibly large selection of vegan dishes (sides, mains, desserts… you name it!), and none of them felt like the obligatory “required vegan option.”

The ingredients in both the curry and the bowl we ordered tasted fresh and high-quality. The flavors were perfectly balanced; honestly, exactly that warm, soothing taste I love about meals cooked with care and attention to detail.
If Echternach wasn’t on your radar yet (even though the walks around it make it more than worth a visit), let this restaurant be your reason to go. The staff were lovely, and the sunny terrace was just as delightful. From the cozy, stylish interior to the kind, attentive service and delicious food and drinks, this spot is perfect whether you’re vegan or just looking for great veggie options.
I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu in the future!

We had the red beet gnocci and a vegan salami pinsa. Both dishes were delicious, though we couldn't finish it because of the big portions.

The atmosphere in the Restaurant is also really nice.
Vegan does not seem like an afterthougt here. They offer lots of different dishes that all sound really great.

They’ve had a vegan offer for a while, but it looks like they have expanded it even more. Even the logo on staff’s T-shirt has been adapted to say “local, regional and also vegan”.

Read moreWe went here twice, once for lunch, once for dinner. A very early dinner, bc when we went to make a reservation for later that evening, they were fully booked (except for a high table chairs at 8pm). So we chose to have dinner at 5pm, which was 'just' possible. So definitely advised to make a reservation!!
For lunch we had
- the flamkuchen with vegan camembert 19.50€
- portion fries 5€
- veganaise 1€
- the vegan fish n chips 26.50€
- the schoko duo (brownie and chocolate mousse) 14€
For dinner we had
- the pinsa vegan deluxe 19,50
- sweet potato fries on the side 6€ with veganaise 1€
- the vegan beef burger 23€ with chili mayo 1€
- dame blanche 12€
The food was nice. Great to have vegan cheezes, sauces, side dishes! Expensive though, but of course it is a tourist region ... The dessert is definitely a portion (and a price) to share.
Service was mixed. More friendly at lunch than at dinner. It was very rushed then.
Comfortable seatings (wouldnt want to sit at the high chairs though).
Not accessible - steps to get in, steps inside resto room, toilets downstairs (midernised and clean).
PS: Despite having ordered everything vegan, the coffee then came with ... a cup of cow milk on the side. Pls pay attention to these 'details' 🙏🏼. Nice to see the cookie was vegan though.

When I visited there was a large cycling event on so they were extremely busy and I couldn't get a table at first, after exploring lovely Echternach for an hour then waitress got me a spot and provided great service despite being super busy

I had the Luxembourgish sausages with mash with a beer and it was delicious! Just very expensive 😭

Be aware what they serve you. Also the service is not so nice. Or they ignore you… Also the menu looks better than the food. When food is warm in the middle and cold on the outside you can tell the microwave has a place inside the kitchen.

Truly amazing to have so many vegan options in a restaurant like this. Vegan options in every category, so not just fried food or pizza. Vegan options look designed from scratch, not just leave out some none vegan stuff. And for the burgers there are also vegan add ons like vegan cheeze/bacon. We had a burger and a Caesar bowl and loved both.

Veel Vegan opties die duidelijk worden weergegeven op de kaart. Wij hebben hier drie keer gegeten, ondanks dat het plan was om er één keer te eten. Het was ZO lekker. Wij hebben de pinsa (pizza) gegeten en dit was echt de lekkerste pizza ooit. De andere dag zijn we voor de schnitzel en de worstjes gegaan. Ook al zo heerlijk. Echt een aanrader!

Wij namen een goedgevulde vegan pokebowl met quinoa en een flammkuchen met granaatappelpitjes cashewparmesaan, rucola en zoet geroosterde walnoten. Allebei heel lekker en er staan genoeg en duidelijk gelabelde keuzes op de kaart. Veggie of vegan. Er worden ook niet-veggie-vegan-gerechten gemaakt. Redelijk aan de prijs misschien , maar wij waren er wel blij mee. En je zit er gezellig. Glutenvrij ook mogelijk. Al weet ik niet hoeveel.

I've been here once for food and got one of the vegan pinzas. It was good, don't get me wrong, and they have quite a few vegan options. However, it was crazy expensive and not worth the price in my opinion.

Monthly vegan brunch - Edit
Went for the 1st time to the monthly special vegan brunch at Aal Eechternoach restaurant. The brunch is severed inside, atmosphere is welcoming and they also have a very nice seating outside for if you take from the menu or just want to enjoy a nice drink.

I particularly liked the fresh viennoiseries, (pain au chocolat) and pancakes with fresh fruits.
On the savory part, the tomato with “mozzarella” was also very refreshing, and the tortellini a nice addition.
However, the scrambled “egg” was way too salty and I also ordered a matcha latte, which was not at all well dosed, which made the taste, not nice..
But I would definitely go back an another occasion.

In this restaurant, vegan is far more than a nice-to-have add-on. It‘s more like a normal part of the menue. Very creative and tasty dishes (I for example had the lentil roast). The only aspect that bothered me was the fact that we waited over 30 minutes until our food arrived.

I had one of the burgers with avocado fries on the side. The food was pretty good, better than good really, but honestly way too expensive for the quantity imho. I was not full, yet ended up paying 38 🤷♂️

Lots of vegan and vegetarian choices, knowledgeable team and the food was good. Pricey but in an area in which vegan means usually “eat the fried potatoes and pick out the bacon - what do you mean, of course they were fried in butter” it is a treasure box.
