Good indian food

The owner is lovely and explains everything if you have questions. He knows what vegan is. I had channa masala and it was delicious! Reasonabie prices. Would go there again.

Cheap food and friendly staff

The owner (I guess) was so friendly and he knew what is vegan and vegetarian. He even asked me twice if I want Pad Thai with egg or without egg. Vegan Pad Thai was the bomb though however it’s not an authentic Pad Thai. (Of course I still like it) The salad rolls was okay.

Pros: Inexpensive, They have vegan and vegetarian menu separately, Yummmyyyyyyyy

Indian food was great

It’s not the most beautiful place, with a lot of light. But it had good seats, was clean and the man was very friendly. Above all, the Indian food tasted really really good😍

Pros: Saak paneer was great!, Fairly priced

Hmmm!

The guy serving had to be prompted by myself and another customer to bring drinks (food had already arrived). Although the menu had separate pages for vegan/veggie food, it still had meat dishes on those pages and pictures of prawns on some of the dishes. Fortunately my meal arrived with no meat or fish.

Pros: Quick service, Yum

Good

Good massaman curry with tofu and black sticky rice. Not the best Thai food but good and filling and not too expensive. Overall ok.

Pros: Plenty of options. Big portion of curry.

Cons: Quite a few bugs on table. Rice not good

Great Pad Thai

The Pad Thai we had was one of the best ones I had with a yummy peanut sauce on top and lots of veggies. The owner is also really sweet and knows all about veganism. The Thai dishes are a lot cheaper than the Indian dishes.

Pros: Nice owner, great taste, good prices for Thai food

Very good, especially for the price!

After reading some reviews we had low expectations but the pad thai was so good!! Garlic naan bread was good too. Cheapest pad thai in the area I think.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Owner knows what vegan is, Kind owner

Poor service and food wasn't vegan

We waited a long time for our order to be taken and then even longer for the food to arrive. On ordering a Thai dish the owner didn't know what ingredients it had however assured me it was vegan. When it finally arrived it had egg in it. Once explained, it was swapped after quite some time for a very basic replacement. Not really a Thai dish considering what I paid.

Cons: Not authentic Thai, Included egg in vegan dish

A lot of options but not worth it

The restaurant only has Indian food on offer. The food took incredibly long even though they were just a handful of customers. Well, it was also so NOT worth the wait. The food just did not taste good and the smoothies contained an awful amount of sugar. We both didn't even finish our plates.

Pros: A lot of veg options

Cons: Doesn't taste good

Great little place close to Khao San Road

Rest-Inn is a vegan restaurant woth >70 vegan dishes. All dishes can also be prepared with eggs and/or meat if you prefer. Prices are reasonable for the location, the owner is very nice though a little bit over the top sometimes (very proud of his youtube video e.g.).
I also took a cooking class there, I was the only student. First, Charlie (owner) showd you around the market and several spice shops.
The actual class consists of 6 typical Thai dished, everything is already chopped, and you're cooking with a very nice Thai lady who speaks a little bit of english. Thanks to Charlie, communication is never a problem though. You get to eat/take home everything you did so don't eat before the class!
I loved the little recipe book you get at the end, so you don't have to write anything down.

Pros: English speaking owner, Close to Khao San Road

Cons: Owner sometimes a lil bit pushy

Good food and wonderful vegan cooking class!

We were visiting Bangkok and wanted to take some cooking classes while we were there. As we were walking home one day, we say this sign for "Vegan Cooking Class" so we stopped in to check it out.

This nice little open-air restaurant serves a variety of Indian and Thai dishes. The owner, Charlie, is from India, and he has two chefs, each that specialize in their specific regional cuisine.

We didn't order food at the restaurant, so all of this review will be based on the 8 Thai dishes we made in the vegan cooking class. We made all of the traditional dishes. Tom Yum, Green Curry, Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Sticky Rice, to name a few. All delicious and huge portion sizes! More than enough food for two people. If you're looking for an affordable vegan cooking class in Bangkok, we'd highly recommend checking this out.

We created a video about this cooking class to give you a better idea of what to expect: https://youtu.be/EPcQHYt4Noo

Pros: Delicious Food, Good value, Vegan Cooking Classes Available

Cons: On a busy street
