Vegan meals and tasty treats - Edit
Located at Green Tiger House hotel, the restaurant operates separately from the hotel between 10:30 am and 10:00 pm (it serves as the hotel breakfast site, 7:00 to 10:30 am). It is open-sided, so is impacted by mosquitoes and some of the seating by rain. (Bug repellent is provided.)
Read moreOffers Western and Thai food, including burgers, fries, pad thai, curry, cheesecake, Black Forest Cake, healthy cookies and more. While staying at the hotel, I ate many meals (plus breakfasts) at this restaurant. I enjoyed everything - pad thai, quinoa-chickpea burger (excellent potato wedges!), lentil soup (hearty, with red-pepper strips, onion), a delicious beet gazpacho (hint of raspberry) served with garlic bread, papaya salad (spicy; would prefer the eggplant and green beans to be blanched rather than raw)...and cocktails.
I like the staff uniform of various flowered shirts. The servers are all pleasant and welcoming. There's a resident cat.
Not far away is sister restaurant, Goodsouls, which has a larger menu and indoor, air-conditioned seating.

Nice spot - Edit
The staff are friendly. The menu is pretty good but I don't think it is the best vegan restaurant in Chiang Mai. The deep fried mushrooms were ok. They had a bit of a strange taste. The Khao Soi was good.

Absolutely phenomenal - Edit
The atmosphere, service, and food were out of this world. I ordered the mushroom alfredo pasta, spring rolls, curry fries, and the mushroom avocado sandwich. For drinks, I got the hibiscus mao berry and the mango passion fruit kombuchas and the green juice.
Read more1. Spring rolls (you must get these. Omg. Comes with the best sauce)
2. Mushroom avocado sandwich (perfect)
3. Alfredo pasta (so good, but I had to add salt and pepper. It needs roasted garlic and lemon juice added to the sauce to be perfect in my opinion. But it was still sooo good after I added salt!)
4. Fries. Thick and seasoned well with a large assortment of sauces for dipping. Perfect.
5. Green juice- best juice I’ve ever tasted
Definitely one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been to! Every single thing was so good.
Pros: Atmosphere , Every dish is good, Great service

One of my favourite places! - Edit
Love love loved Reform Kafe! The garden is so nice to sit in, especially in the evening, it’s such a lovely place. The food and smoothies we had were amazing, although I would say I wasn’t a massive fan of the pad Thai, it was quite bland in comparison to others I’ve had - everything else was 10/10 😍 The staff are lovely, and there is also a very cute cat lazing around. Highly recommend!

Amazing Vegan Restaurant - Edit
Visited 'Reform Kafe' on our trip to Chiang-Mai as it was located near our stay and it did not disappoint! Very friendly staff, nice seating area, and great service.
Read moreI ordered their khao soi, curry potato wedges, berry love (smoothie bowl), thai iced tea, and a kombucha. Our food arrived very quickly and was absolutely delicious! AND our total was under 700฿!
For people interested in visiting Chiang-Mai there is a hotel right above the Reform Kafe, called the Green Tiger House!
Pros: full vegan menu, cheap, very friendly staff
Cons: no screens/laptops allowed

Possibly our favourite restaurant in the world - Edit
This restaurant holds a special place in our hearts. We first came here six years ago when we accidentally stumbled across it whilst trying to escape the monsoon rain. Since then we have eaten here over a dozen times, and every time we’re reminded of why we love it so much.
Read moreThe restaurant has a zen garden aesthetic, with water features and a half-outdoor feeling. This makes for a calm, relaxing atmosphere… but also means lots of mosquitoes, especially during the evening. The staff will give you repellent if you ask!
Everything on the menu we’ve tried so far has been delicious, but for us the mushroom burger steals the show. Honestly, it’s one of the best burgers we’ve ever eaten—and I say this as someone who doesn’t even like mushrooms!
Unfortunately, this isn’t the place for remote working, as they have a no laptop/tablet policy. We appreciate the ethos behind this idea, but just wish they’d make an exception during quiet hours, as we’d happily hang out here all afternoon! 🐯💚
UPDATE, July 2023
Still our favourite restaurant! Spent my partner’s birthday here and they prepared a slice of cake with a candle as a surprise! I also tried the whole wheat bagel for the first time—yum! Uses the same homemade cashew cheese as the cheeseburger but is a lighter choice and comes with a creamy dill and potato salad on the side.

We stayed at the hotel and also ate at the Reform Kafe several times, we enjoyed all the food, very tasty and big portions. Last time we went with non vegan friends and they loved it! Staff are so lovely and attentive! The restaurant is cozy, with a nice terrace. A must if you are in Chiang Mai.

Mushroom burger- Do it. - Edit
We ordered a Thai soup and a mushroom burger to share. They were out of home nade kombucha, but the berry one is good.

Sooo many options - Edit
There are so many options: both Thai and western style food. The mushroom burger and mushroom sandwiches here are just amazingly good. The Thai food is also top notch. I love the Burmese tea leaf salad and the red curry. Many desserts to choose from as well. You can come here again and again and not get bored.
