I have not been for a while but in the past I have always found this place good. Food is fresh and mocktails delish.

Disappointing - Edit
I came here because of the positive reviews but was bitterly disappointed. The salads looked very fancy but were quite salty and the dressing that I had had an artificial stale flavour. Deserts were bland and the service was slow. Staff did not seem very knowledgeable about the food. I just felt was though this was another place jumping on the vegan bandwagon for the sake of it. Sadly won't be returning.

Healthy, nutritious and tasty food! - Edit
I'm always been greeted by super friendly staff everytime I've been to Redemption. At lunchtime, the atmosphere is a great mix of casual yet friendly and slightly fancy - it's a great place for all. I often see couples, friends meeting, some older local residents and parents/carers with their kiddies, and solos too. It really does have that open to all feel about it. The food is fantastic. What I love the most is that the food is wholesome, fresh and healthy. It's not often that eating out will give you that satisfied feeling without over doing it on the calories or compromising a healthier lifestyle I'm often aiming for.

Good food and lots of it - Edit
We had brown rice penne and the burger. Both were good and the portions so large we had no room for dessert.

Honestly, I cannot recommend Redemption more! If you're in London, please give one of their branches a try - I assure you that you will be pleasantly surprised.
Read moreI've been here twice and each time I have been completely blown over by the standard of the food and the service. I brought some non vegans here for a birthday dinner and they loved it! They offer an eclectic menu, serving healthy and inventive vegan food - the whole restaurant is vegan, gluten, refined sugar and alcohol free, and they also offer raw options, meaning there really is something for everyone. Their motto - "Spoil yourself without spoiling yourself" - perfectly sums up the vibe here. Feast on creamy cheesecakes, rich, decedent shakes and wholesome corn fritters. I would definitely recommend their kale salad, made exciting and delicious by smoky olives and a thick, nutty cashew dressing.
The area is central, yet peaceful and beautiful and the interior of the restaurant is trendy and tasteful. The staff are so so friendly and helpful. I cannot stress how worthy Redemption is of a visit.
Pros: Amazing service, Innovative, alcohol free drinking, Excellent, wholesome food

Wow - Edit
Certainly one of the tastiest restaurants in London I've been to. Very impressed. Visited December 2018 with one friend. Had several dishes - the portions aren't small, I just eat a lot. I had the marinara and brown rice pasta which was so amazing I got another portion, buff burger which was good, not great, kale and edamame salad which was excellent, grilled aubergine and tahini (excellent), the green smoothie (good), caramel crack shake (filthy and delicious as promised), and the banoffee pie (great). Yoikes! They were out of kombucha which was a shame as that's the drink we wanted most. It's a hard life at the top isn't it. 😄 And the staff were nice.

Found this place thanks to Happy Cow. Ate there with 3 non-vegan friends. We all loved our food. My favourite was the vegan bolognese! Did not try the desserts.

Usually excellent - Edit
I've had the pleasure of dining here thrice while passing through London, and all three visits were delightful.
Read moreThe desserts, drinks, service, environment and ethos are all great. Don't miss the vegan cheesecake.
The food is usually excellent — creative, delicious, and salubrious. It was only on this most recent visit with friends that we were somewhat less impressed: though everything was OK, the risotto was a bit dry and the burgers were good but not amazing. The vegan cheesecake continues to win our hearts every time, as does the service.
Highly recommended. Enjoy!

Left hungry - Edit
Found Redemption through this app and it had such positive reviews but unfortunately, we were rather disappointed. The food was quite expensive considering the portion sizes. We left hungry tonight and ended up grabbing something else to eat on the way home. I had the Tokyo salad - sauce was nice but not much to the rest of it, just rice and a bit of avocado. My cousin had the burger and she didn’t like the taste, the sweet potato fries were soggy, she also left the coleslaw. I think it is probably great for lunch but if you are looking to show a non-vegan how great vegan food can be I’d suggest maybe elsewhere.

Probably the best vegan burger and cake I've had! - Edit
We found parking on a Sunday easily across the street and found Redemption to be have a clean and spacious feel inside with some seating outside.
Read moreService was super friendly and not imposing in any way.
There was a great choice of options and all are gluten free and vegan so you can simply go with what you fancy worry free. There is a menu for kids which is essentially a scaled version of the adults (which is perfect imo) with an addition of a shake for £10 which is a really fair price for what my son received.
I had the protein punch burger which came with a super turmeric coleslaw and sweet potatoes fries. I can quite honestly say it was the BEST (gf/vegan) burger I have had, I'm still thinking about it the day after :P
The banoffee pie & key lime cheesecake were seriously fantastic, super consistency with crunchy bases.
We'll definitely be returning here!

Time for dessert.. - Edit
We found this place quite by accident and thought we’d stop for coffee & dessert, admittedly the service was slow albeit very friendly. The Banoffi & Key lime pie were well worth the wait, so much so we returned last week for dinner. Much busier & speedier service this time, we had the Thai salad and courgette spaghetti, the salad was full of flavour, the spaghetti wasn’t as good in truth but that could just be a personal preference, both were served beautifully. The mock fizz is pleasant but I must admit a glass of Prosecco would have gone down better, that said I’m vegan that likes her cocktails with vodka & desserts occasionally with sugar. All in all lovely atmosphere, great staff and definitely worth stopping by for dessert.

Nothing Special - Edit
Slow staff unfortunately drives me mad. Why is it more important for a table to have cutlery that no one is sitting on, than to give waiting customers menus that you have already seated? This place looks very nice when you walk in, the open kitchen and overflowing bins ruin it though. Hard to choose something on the menu as it all is very expensive, but I choose the smoothie bowl. Very tasty, but runny (less like smoothie bowl and more like a smoothie) had dragon fruit with skin on which made it hard to eat in a wobbly coconut bowl. Unfortunately I’ll not be back.

Consistently good - Edit
Been here on a number of occasions and it always goes down well. Portion sizes are great, never leave feeling hungry. Pancakes are a particular favourite, although lots of lovely things to choose from on the menu. Always been lucky in terms of getting a seat too. I've also tried the Redemption in Old Street / Shoreditch and personally find this location once is much nicer (bigger space, feel less cramped, quieter).
