Raw Vegan Options! - Edit
I drove 1 hour 20 minutes one-way to eat lunch here as a reward for eating raw vegan for 1 month. Totally worth it!
Read moreRaw vegan desserts are one of Julie’s specialties (she is co-owner, baker, chef). The raw vegan hummus (served with veggies) was incredible. The raw vegan Almond Joy Bar was outstanding. There are also non-raw vegan options in the grab-and-go refrigerator (sandwiches, wraps, chips/salsa, bagels, etc.).
I had a great conversation with Dan (co-owner, coffee roaster, beer boss) about the venue and its history. It was built in 1910 and restored by the owners to its current wonderful condition – original brick walls, original wood floors and original tin ceiling. It’s a welcoming environment where you want to hang out.

Cute place! - Edit
Was super excited to go to Raw Deal and I'm glad we did! A few vegan options, I got a vanilla cappuccino with oat milk, a vegan burrito and some veggies with hummus! It was all super tasty (though the burrito could have been more seasoned) and the actual shop itself is super cute and the barista was very nice.

I’m on a 5000 adventure around the United States and look at happy CAL for options. Found this coffee shop and oh my goodness I highly recommend it. Sweets and non-sweets… Coffee… And even adult life vacations

Great Atmosphere, Great Treats - Edit
Really impressive array of vegan desserts and food! Everything I tried was delicious. As other reviews say, do watch out for cow’s milk in drinks. Any food will be completely veg and completely delicious!

Read moreAt the recommendation of the barista, I ordered the spinach quiche. She promised lots of spinach and cilantro flavor. Yum! The crust was made from flax seeds. It also tasted like some weak onions or scallions were added. Garnished with carrots and some cabbage. I liked it and would order it again.
The turtle cheesecake was still great. I had it the first time I came a few months back. We both enjoyed it. A nice crust and thick creamy layers of different mouse. We are guessing it is nut based since it is raw. We both enjoyed it. I was left with the task of licking the plate. Yup, that happened.
Be careful ordering drinks. They serve cows milk and have milk in some of their beer. The food is all labeled as vegan

when i went, i had the raw quiche and then on the way back from my destination i had a stuffed pepper. both were delicious! i also recommend the little cups of heaven-very tasty. for dessert, i had a cheescake and on the way back i had a slice of their raspberry pie, which also was great. they have a big new place now and it's kind of hard to find if you're new to the area-it is in an old hardware store and says "hardware store" on the front. but very good food and very friendly staff!
