Tasty vegan kimchi ramen

Girl working the desk was super nice, spoke English, and helped me pull up an English menu on my phone since they didn’t have one handy.

Anytime I can get vegan ramen or vegan kimchi, I’m gonna be happy, and this place didn’t disappoint. It’s a bit expensive, but that’s typical for Asian food in Kyiv from what I’m told. I do wish they would cut down on their plastic use, however.

Pros: Vegan kimchi ramen was delicious, Nice and helpful staff

Cons: Plastic use, Little spendy

Nice vegan food, but uses honey(

Biscuit desert 10/10, maybe one of the best vegan desert
I had the English breakfast with vegan sausage and tofu scramble and couscous, both the sausage and the scramble were great, but too small inside the whole dish. 7/10
Cuba Pita, 5/10, they didn't write in the menu that's why garlic sauce. Also found out that they use honey in the mustard sauce

Cons: Uses honey

Nice food, poor service, non eco-friendly

Nice food options but mostly a really poor service- the staff is non competent (e.g. I asked to figure out does a particular option contains sugar, and 2 waiters gave me the opposite answers)
Mostly food is packed in plastic . And yeah, they have significantly increased the prices so it’s not that cheap

Pros: Nice and mostly delicious food

Cons: Mostly food is served in plastic, Awful location (inside of Bessarabskiy market) , Bad service quality. Staff is non competent

tasty but

we had tasty wraps here but the customer service was really poor, the wait very long (online deliveries seeming to be prioritised over customers in the building), and we were short changed

Vegan Ramen

Delicious vegan ramen served inside buzzy Bessarabski Market. Sumasbrod also offer kombucha, wraps and sweet treats. I will definitely come back here during my stay in Kyiv.

Amazing Food

Went there with my omni dad and even he said the wraps were fantastic, he especially like the peta Cuba.
I had the vegan ramen and was instantly in love 😍 (such a shame that I’m heading home but defo a reason to visit again) the soy meat was tender and the shiitake mushrooms were full of flavour. Wish I had a recipe, I’d cook it every day 😂✌🏻

Great wraps

This is a great street food outlet in the large indoor food market. The Cuban wrap I had was delicious and extremely good value. Carob coffee with coconut milk was yummy too

Pros: Food is very tasty, Really inexpensive, Staff understand English

Tastiest pita so far

Visited this place several times. Bought two different pitas and they both were really delicious. I was quite happy to try Kombucha because it is the only place selling it I know. A dessert I tried also was delightful. However, couscous bowl "English breakfast" was too salty to my taste. And I don't really like the place of it. Hope, they'll add another location, somewhere fancier.)

Pros: tasty food, offering of kombucha

Cons: small space, food may be too salty

the tastiest meal in Kiev

A small and quirky place inside Bessarabsky rynok.
I had huge portions of ramen soup, Israel pita, tea and dessert all for 200 UAH/ $7.
The owner is a lovely lady and food is absolutely amazing.

Pros: Tasty, Fast, Good value

Cons: none for me

Tomato soup and toasted pita

The toasted pita sandwich was great. The chocolate pudding was great too. My gf had tomato soup, said it was good. However, I wasn't crazy about their lemonade.

Pros: Vegan, Great prices

Cons: Drinks need improvement, Seating limited

Small menu, but mostly vegan

Sumasbrød is a friendly little shop with more or less the typical veg cafe menu of the region, plus some vegan desserts. The only downside is that many of the items (e.g. salads) are packaged in plastic (not eco-friendly). Service was cheerful.

Amazingly delicious food

I discovered Sumasbrod accidentally yesterday and this is now my fav place to eat in Kiev. Me and my sister both fell in love with this cozy place. We ended up coming back the same day there for dinner. We tried tofu and beet hummus wrap (the tastiest wrap I've ever eaten!), same thing on toast, another wrap with veggies, cookies, coconut balls and vanilla desert, which all were insanely good. We also decided to try combucha and were not dissapointed.
In addition the staff was extremely nice and seemed very inspired and happy to tell us all about their menu options. We were left with very pleasant impression. Definatly will be coming back when in Kiev.

Pros: Delicious food, Fare price, Friendly staff

Cons: None

great place!

Visited this lil place yesterday and it was great! First of all the staff is very nice and extremely helpful. We tried out sandwiches with the seitan sausage and the one with beetroot hummus and they were both delicious. Also was very curious to try ukranian combucha and I really enjoy it . Price was good too , definite recommend!

Pros: location, taste, price

Cons: none
