Great coffee

I’ve tried Qualla Java a few times and it seems to be the best coffee in Cherokee. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean. Several plant milk options. I love the coffee house atmosphere and it’s right on the river. There is a great little bridge and outdoor area where you can walk around and look at the river. Service is fine - some are friendly, others indifferent. There are zero vegan food options there or anywhere else in that plaza. Food options are hard to find in Cherokee at all.

Great for coffee snobs!

This is a gem. My boyfriend and I went here when they opened at 7 am and got an iced espresso with soy milk and toffee nut syrup & a “Thirteen Moons” oat milk latte (espresso, oat milk, blackberry and toffee nut syrup, and cocoa powder). Absolutely delicious and cheaper than Starbucks. I would recommend this to anyone, vegan or non vegan. Unfortunately, they don’t have any vegan food items but they do sell their own coffee and some cute mugs too!

House roasted coffee and dog friendly!

This cute shop is nestled right in the center of Cherokee. Unfortunately I didn't notice any vegetarian or vegan options (the only scone that listed ingredients had both milk and eggs) on the food side of things, but any of their drinks can be made with almond, soy or coconut milk. I asked if my pup would be allowed on their back patio and she said of course, he's even allowed inside!

Pros: Non-dairy milk options, pet-friendly, easy to find
