OK - Edit
After seeing all these great reviews, I was pretty excited to check this place out. I did initially think the menu was limited, and it is pretty limited if you are trying to eat very healthy. I had the beet arugula salad. It didn't have much flavor. The beets were good, but I think I made a mistake because I don't love arugula, so I could have probably made a better choice. My friend had the buffalo wings and they were soaked with sauce which was very overwhelming. She also had the truffle fries which were okay. There are not too many appealing gluten free options here besides the soups and salad (without croutons since they don't have gluten free croutons). They do have gluten free bread if you want to have the beyond burger.
Read morePros: nice ambiance, good wait staff filled water frequently, 3 bathrooms so you don't have to wait for bathroom
Cons: too much sauce on buffalo wings, I felt cold in the restaurant on the 2nd floor, menu is limited

Underwhelming - Edit
I was really looking forward to the dinner here but I must say in hindsight it was not that convincing.
Read moreI had a lasagne (was quite plain in taste and also quite little) and an apple cobbler (to much dough and to little taste too)
Overall I found the dishes rather blend and uninspired.
On top they were quite pricey.
Pros: Fully vegan
Cons: Not a taste explosion

World record - Edit
The staff at P.S. Kitchen were busy on a January night. Two people looking to eat before their show were welcomed by a kind waiter who sat them at a table reserved for somebody else. They had under 30 minutes to eat and they were hungry. He ordered two vegan meals and his friend, one meal and a dessert. The waiter served their food fast and the whole room witnessed a world record. The delicious food was devoured within 15 minutes. And the best part is they got to their show on time with full stomachs. Although...the friend regrets having the burrito.

Excellent Lunch Spot - Edit
I met 2 non-vegan friends here for lunch. We got the beyond burger wraps and beet salads with Cranberry Kiss drinks and they were tasty and generous portions. We split the chocolate brownie sundae and apple crisp for dessert which were delicious.

Best Experience in NYC - Edit
My husband and I went to 11 places for food on our trip and this was by far the best place. I will dream about this meal for a long time. I loved the Caesar Salad and the Potato soup the most. It was located close to Times Square and Broadway theaters making it perfect for a pre-show dinner.

Had the chocolate ganache with raspberry to satisfy my sweet tooth and it tasted really good and the texture was fantastic. I also had the cashew vanilla ice cream and it was really good.

Excellent Vegan food! - Edit
I came here prior to a Broadway show and this place did not disappoint! I had the PS Burger with fries for my entree. The burger was delicious and hit the spot, I highly recommend it. It is quite messy though so be prepared. I had the cheesecake for dessert and it was honestly the best vegan cheesecake I’ve ever had. The staff was polite and checked in frequently. I was seated at the bar as no more tables were available. Highly recommend that you make reservations!!

They bring Italian vegan food to another level! Many other dishes to choose from, great desserts as well, but preparing Italian food the way they did was very special to me.

Wonderful birthday/pre-show dinner - Edit
Had a fantastic time at PS, on a fairly busy street near Times Square/Broadway, line was out the door when we arrived around 5:20. Look for the black awning with "PS Kitchen" on it or you may miss it! Love that they donate proceeds to local non-profits!
Read moreWe split the Caesar salad with crispy chicken, potato soup, and the pot pie. The salad dressing was perfectly creamy and tart, we were impressed with the crispy chicken as well. The potato soup had a great flavor and texture, but beware if you don't like citrus - there were lemon pieces in the soup itself. The pot pie was incredible, depth of flavor in the filling was amazing and the pastry had the perfect amount of flakiness. We decided to split a brownie sundae for dessert after being so impressed with the main dishes. It did not disappoint, especially the brownie which had a great texture/chewiness! Don't be scared off by the smaller size of the menu, all the food we tried, as well as the food we saw at other tables, looked incredible!
Overall the service was quick and efficient, not "friendly" but also not rude. We did receive a spoon with our dessert which was unwashed and had food crusted on it, but willing to overlook that based on the rest of the meal. The restaurant was spacious enough that you didn’t feel cramped and the restrooms were clean and well-stocked.
Do take note, we made a reservation for 5:15 which stated a 15 minute grace period, when we arrived at 5:20 our table had already been given away and the host seemed unaware of the 15 minute policy. Even if you may or may not be running late I'd recommend calling as soon as you can to ensure you can keep your spot.
Pros: Wonderful flavors in all the dishes we tried, Great alcoholic and zero-proof options for all, Great ambiance despite a full house
Cons: Slight confusion with reservation policies, Received unwashed utensils with dessert

Solid, all vegan, carnivore-approved place that donates profits to charity - Edit
Me and my non-vegan family were seeing Book of Mormon and this place is literally a 60 second walk away from the Eugene O'Neill theater. The menu is more on the indulgent junk food side rather than the hippie rabbit food side, so if you're more into "whole foods plant based" etc etc this may not be for you, but for a group of mostly non-vegans it was definitely a winner.
Read moreThe maitake wings were delicious and crispy. My burger and truffle fries were excellent. Husband enjoyed the "chicken" pot pie. All of the sides were great too. Cocktails were creative, beautifully presented and STRONG!
It's a little odd for (essentially) a burger place to be this upscale, and the food is a little pricey for what you're getting, but being that it's NYC and in the middle of freaking Times Square at that, that's to be expected. Also, all of the profits go to charity so you can feel less guilty about the bill!
Pros: Tasty all vegan menu, Meat eaters will likely enjoy it, Profits go to charity
Cons: Pricey, Probably not the best location for locals
