It's OK if you're in a hurry and didn't have the chance to bring anything with you before catching your train (lifesaver for me today) but they only had 2 vegan options and the shelves were stacked before lunch break.

There are at least two Pret at Gare de Lyon, one underground (Hall 3) and one above ground at Hall 1.
Read morethe underground one is very small and usually has no vegan options, the one in Hall 1 has at least one vegan sandwich and usually also a wrap.
The sandwiches are decent and it is the best option at Gare de Lyon currently imo.

Remember to check the ingredients here - the one vegan option I could find in the selection was wrongly displayed as "vegetarian" and the cheddar containing non-vegan one was displayed as "vegan", these were mixed up. There seemed to be many vegetarian options but only one vegan: a seed baguette with olive tapenade, dried tomatoes and rucola. The baguette tasted fine but price (7,5e) not so much.

I checked this branch a couple of days ago a little bit after lunch time. Sadly, there were just a few vegan options: a sandwich with avocado and olives, a soup, and a bunch of light desserts (chia pudding, yoghurt, fruits).

Sucks because I do really like this place, it’s relatively cheap, I like getting their vegan sandwich and coconut yogurt(the yogurt is delicious), and love their lattes with coconut milk. Not sure about the cleanliness of this location though as I found a live bug just chillin at the end of my sandwich waiting for me to eat it lol

Looking for something for breakfast before taking the TGV to Geneva. They had a couple vegan options clearly marked. Acai bowl was a bit too sweet for my taste but the carrot soup was good and hot. Also had fresh fruit. Would like to have seen some sort of vegan pastry or sandwich as an option at this location.

So happy that there's this place à la Gare de Lyon since I had no time to look for vegan food and this chains supply quite a good choice. There are wraps, sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit and soups.

Staff is really kind they also refilled my water bottle with tap water for free.
The soup I got stayed warm for more than two hours and tasted so goo!

The location is great for when you are travelling to/from gare du Lyon and really saved my trip.
Read moreBUT pay attention to the labels. They nicely indicate vegan but where beef and tuna sandwishes. So really pay attention and don't just grab anything on the go. Further there was only one option left, a mexican wrap (which tasted ok).
The staff was helpfull and came to reassign the labels but could lead to being stuck on the train with a beef sandwish.

Finally, a place to eat vegan in Gare de Lyon - Edit
Traveler, rejoice, you'll no longer have to eat bananas and roasted peanuts when transiting in Gare de Lyon ! In the Hall 1, you'll find pret-a-manger, a wonderful place where you'll find at least 2 different vegan sandwich (cold), 1 vegan salad and 1 hot soup. Also, like in most coffee place, they have any hot beverage you'll need with soy (or coco) milk !
Read moreThe thing I really want to stress is, when I say "vegan sandwich", it's not just bread with a boring tomatoes, lettuce and olive. I've transitionned several times this week in this train station and every time the vegan option where well-made, tasty and balanced vegan option with beans, avocado, rice, lettuce, tomatoes, sauce. (For the burrito they had).
Also good to mentions that they have even more vegetarian option if you're into that.

The staff was very friendly, they went directly to the kitchen to bring me back a sandwich freshly made because they were out of stock in the take away section.

C'est pratique de trouver des options vegan en gare.
J'ai mangé un sandwich baguette avec de l'avocat, de la pâte d'olives noires, basilic, pignons et tomates ainsi qu'un jus.
C'était très bon.
Le personnel est serviable, une dame a été me chercher le sandwich qui venait d'être fait directement dans la cuisine parce qu'il n'y en avait plus dans le frigo à emporter.
