This is a small general convenience store which tries to carry some veg-friendly foods. It has a few Amy's brand soups and frozens, some limited fresh fruits, and some basics that help folks who don't want to go to a big store.
Read moreIt was perfect for getting a few things for the hotel room while I'm in town for a conference. I got packs of oatmeal and fresh blueberries for breakfast and cans of soup for lunch. And while the prices are higher than a big store, they are lots less than the $17 the hotel wanted for an animal-products-based breakfast buffet.
Nice folks at the counter. And very glad to help vegans. I've been back twice.

This place had almost nothing in terms of health food. Basically the only perk was that it was w/in walking distance to Seed.

While I would not say they have many vegan/vegetarian options, the owner made me two special options on the spot. He said that they had a much larger selection of fruit/veg, but it kept going bad. Great little family owned Market though. They sent me to a wonderful spot called Carmo on Julia for dinner. Excellent!

Locally Owned down to Earth Real People - Edit
This is a locally owned family owned store in the Warehouse District of New Orleans. It has all the essential items of a large grocery store without the hassle. Over the past few years it has evolved into a gem. The owners always greet you with a smile and go above and beyond to help. They also just started serving lunch during the week and I am obsessed with the Shrimp Banh Mi! You can grab a nice bottle of wine or local brew too. Love love love this place!

I respect that the business is young, but the market is pretty underwhelming. It's very tiny and outrageously overpriced. Like $5-for-1-lb-of-baby-carrots overpriced. If you're at the morial convention center and have NO other options, maybe go grab a luna bar. None of the premade items are vegan, nor I think vegetarian.
