Extensive vegan menu!

Great to see a separate vegan menu! The Asian salad and burger were very good. Would be nice to see a vegan Sunday roast option - the nut roast contains egg so is only veggie.

Bendigedig / Fantastic

A refreshing pub in Bala with its very own vegan menu – perfect for plant-based diners! The food offers a wide selection of starters, mains, and desserts, all beautifully prepared. The staff are attentive and the place is impeccably clean. A true asset to Bala, offering a welcoming spot for a delicious meal for everyone.

Pros: Food options , Food, Staff

Lovely pub

Great service, really nice food. Had the onion bhaji veggie burger, which was a veggie burger (like golden vegetable style not fake meat) with an onion bhaji on top.

Al fresco dining and an awesome burger

With aching legs from an epic hike to Cadair Idris, we needed some sustenance and our campsite was up the road from Bala, so having walked along the main high street perusing menus, we opted for Plas Yn Dre. It was a busy place, obviously very popular with campers, hikers and water sport enthusiasts (if the amount of kayaks on top of the cars parked around were anything to go by!).

We both ordered the large spiced veggie burger that had an onion bhaji and red onion marmalade on it and it came with chips. It was pricey at £18, but needs must and it was really, really good!

They have a separate vegan menu which was great to see with some nice options on it. The mains, were the burger, a veggie pasta or a tofu poke bowl.

As it was busy, there was a bit of a wait for the food, but we were sat outside and were enjoying the people watching!

Pros: Delicious food, Good menu options, There was a pudding that wasn't a sorbet!

Cons: Expensive
