Burnt really bad on top and then the inside was as dry as the Saharan desert.
I was able to get a refund from one nice lady as the rest of the staff were useless.
Originally didn’t arrive with any mash potatoes either so I had to ask for that and some cutlery because the staff member forgot.
Pros: The drinks
Cons: Staff had no idea about what was in the food. , Burnt and tasteless , Service was bad

Laughably poor experience - Edit
Very inexperienced service, gave us dairy nachos when we ordered vegan and didn't seem overly bothered, although did apologoise eventually and deducted from bill at my request. Think staff were all young and a little out of their depth. The cauli bites were nice!

It is a Brains pub with Brains vegan and veggie menu on offer.
Read moreWe had the burger. It was tasty, particularly if you like vegan burgers that have a meat-like texture and look. It comes with a few nice tasting beetroot falafels threaded on the skewer that holds the burger together. There was also a grains side salad that we didn't get on with.
Pros: A few vegan options including desserts., The only vegan food on offer in Bala at the moment
Cons: Took them a while to make the burgers.

Terrible experience:
Read more-Waitress didn't know what she was delivering.
-Half the ingredients were missing from various meals.
-Served Jackfruit Nachos with dairy cheese on top! Chef admitted it. They apologised and refunded but didn't seem too bothered by their mistake.

Surprise great stay - Edit
Falafel starter, sweet potato curry, jackfruit curry and delicious sorbet! Stayed here as a hotel and they couldn't do enough for us as vegans - bringing soy milk to our room for tea and talking is through their food preparation to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Of note as this small Welsh town didn't have a lot in offer for vegans but this hotel did everything they could to ensure our stay was what we needed!
Read moreUPDATE: breakfast the next morning was epic - they could not do enough for us - cooked lots of things fresh for us to insure no cross contamination (as it's buffet style) they also pulled out a pack of violife cheese for us so we could have cheese on toast! #AMAZING
